KL Tower or also known as Menara Kuala Lumpur, the tallest Telecommunication Tower in South East Asia & the 7th tallest in the world, was built to improve the quality of telecommunications and broadcasting transmissions. It has become a significant landmark and symbol that identifies Malaysia as a great tourist destination of the millennium and at the same time a testimony of Malaysia’s capability in the building of high technology facilities. Located atop Bukit Nanas at a breathtaking height of 421 meters, KL Tower was built blending the tower seamlessly with nature. Bukit Nanas is one of the oldest permanent forest reserves in Malaysia. It was gazette in 1906 and was formerly known as Bucket Weld Forest Reserve. Covering an area of approximately 9.37 hectares, Bukit Nanas Forest Reserve is the only remaining virgin tropical rainforest in the heart of the city of Kuala Lumpur. Serving as the green lung of the city, Bukit Nanas Forest Reserve is also home to an abundant of flora and fauna of the Malaysian tropical rainforest. In fact, KL Tower is the only tower in the world located within a forest! KL Tower is in the hospitality and business experience industry. It offers experiences such as viewing, dining, nature, adventure, event and shopping. Current products and services offered at KL Tower include Observation Deck, Revolving Restaurant (Atmosphere 360°), Mega View Banquet Hall for Meeting and Seminars / Private Functions such as Wedding in the Sky, Mini Theater, Amphitheater, F1 Simulator, Blue Coral Aquarium, KL Tower Mini Zoo and MKL Performing Arts Group.
The Kuala Lumpur Tower [(KL Tower) or Menara Kuala Lumpur (in Malay)], in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, is an important symbol in Kuala Lumpur, is the tallest tower in South-east Asia and the 7th tallest free-standing telecommunications tower in the world (opened in 1996), located on a hill of the Kuala Lumpur Forest Eco Park, in the center of the city and can be reached either by Monorail (Station Bukit Nanas) or LRT train (Dang Wang station). The KL Tower in Kuala Lumpur, constructed from 1991 to 1994, reaches a height of 421 meters (with the antenna spire), the top floor is 335 meters high, and is used mainly as telecommunication tower (TV & Radio) but also for some other purposes [e.g.as Islamic Lunar Observatory, adventure (base-jump), tourism, etc.] and has the highest revolving restaurant (Atmosphere 360) in SE Asia with astonishing panoramic views over the city of Kuala Lumpur and for kids a small aquarium (mini coral) and a mini zoo. The KL Tower in Kuala Lumpur, has an Observation Deck (at 276 m above ground level), the Atmosphere 360 Restaurant (282m-amazing views with culinary experience), Mega-view Banquet Hall (288m-for different events), a Sky Deck (open air platform at 300m ), a Sky Café (open air at 300m) & a Sky Box (glass box extension on the air for thrilling experience) with breathtaking views of Kuala Lumpur (during day and night). Also the KL Tower lighting during the night is just amazing (changing vibrant colors). I have visited the KLTower in Kuala Lumpur [(the ticket was 99 MYR (about 20 EUR), but I paid less because of promotion(MYR 29, about 6 EUR)] and I have been one hour before sunset (daylight) and I have stayed to admire the marvelous sunset, both from the Sky Deck (300m-open air) and from the Observation Deck (at 276 m) experiencing astonishing views and shooting wonderful pictures of the Capital City. In summary, I was exciting about my visit to the Kuala Lumpur Tower (or Menara Kuala Lumpur), I have had wonderful panoramic views of the city, I have admired the sunset and my experience was highly positive (an entertaining and joyful event) and therefore I consider that a visit to KLTower is a must sightseeing activity in Kuala Lumpur.

This tower is underrated. The outlook of the tower isn't in its glory days. However, the tower still gives you the aerial view of the city (Alor Setar). This is the only tower, that when I visited at almost sunset, there is no one around. I get the whole sunset view to myself. For the locals here the tower may be boring, but for visitors the tower is the place to check out the river, the old buildings and the landscape (including the hills). There is a fee to enter. You can go to the viewing area level or to the restaurant. Around the viewing area level (open air), there are few telescopes if there is no one around you can use it to your own and have a close up view of almost everything. The tower unfortunately has no explanation on the landmarks of the city. There are toilets at the viewing level. Best time to go is in the late evening when it is windy, not hot and you can stay till sunset.

The Rainbow Skywalk and Observatory Deck offer stunning seamless views of George Town and beyond. Located at George Town’s highest point, the open-air Rainbow Skywalk is at Level 68, on the rooftop of Komtar tower, offering visitors the thrilling experience of walking on air 252 meter above sea level.
Komtar The Top Rainbow Skywalk was an intrepid though fantastic experience. Stunning, 360-degree views of Penang island, on 68th floor, Rainbow Skywalk is the highest glass skywalk in Malaysia. We went at midday – hot, bring a sunhat; it was hot on the glass skywalk – overshoes are the style of the day. I have gait/walking challenges (stroke), all sightseeing has to be well-researched and not overly taxing; I wear a legbrace. Very slippery when in over-shoes; no-handhold stroll carrying my camera - possible, to walk on the glass bridge/skywalk despite my gait challenges. Great to go up during dusk, transition between light and dark, will do that next time. The observatory deck on 68th floor is a haven of cool, with comfortable seats in the coco cabana bar & bistro with views - they make a mean margarita. Well worth the trip.

The TOP is a project by OWG, leading theme park builder with a proven track record of delivering exciting leisure attractions. A centre stage of people coming together for an exhilarating lifestyle experience, creating lifelong food memories. The TOP is set to be a must visit attraction in Penang.
If you have half a day to spend in Georgetown, highly recommended to buy the Window of the Top + Avenue of Adventures Combo ticket that covers all places of attraction on 3F-5F, 65F and 68F. We spent about 7 hours there, exploring almost every little corner possible. The durian museum on 3F was rather interesting, the indoor aquarium on 4F was spectacular, and we found ourselves returning to the mirror maze on 5F several times; super fun to play in a small group. The main highlight was of course the observation deck on 65F (try to walk on the glass floor looking down!) + the outdoor rainbow skywalk on 68F. Photographers there were generally friendly, and not so imposing on visitors. There are several eateries available on 5F, or one may opt for the "Penang Street" indoor hawker centre on 3F. Parking tip: if you don't mind a little bit of walk, there are plenty of car parks available at Prangin Mall, connected to Komtar by overhead skybridges. On weekdays, the parking rate was RM2 per entry.

Standing at 195 metres, Sky Deck is located at Melaka's iconic Hatten City. It offers a 360 degree panoramic view plus 4 dining and entertainment outlets. From glorious sunsets to bustling cityscapes, elevate your experience and capture the beauty of picturesque Melaka.
We booked our Xmas dinner for here this year. What a treat, the food was amazing & great value for money. The views from the SkyDeck are pretty awesome & as it's free if you have reserved a table at the restaurant, it's well worth it. Post dinner drink in the bar was worth it as well, chill-out bar, very contemporary & very reasonable prices for a SkyDeck bar.

This lean & mean Menara is actually a better choice than the Petronas Twin Towers if you want to see the city from the top. First of all it's taller so from the viewing deck the Petronas Towers will be below it. Plus it provides much better panorama all around because there's nothing as tall for miles that'll block your view (other than the sparkling steel skyscraper Petronas of course) The glass Skybox will give you the vertigo and you will literally feel your blood draining from you legs. And there are so many other attractions in this thin structure as well. The 360 restaurant, base jumping, Mini Zoo, Aquarium, Upside-Down House, 100 years old tree and most of all it's very own personal rainforest. Not bad for a tower that was built only to improve telecommunications.

The Birch Memorial clock tower is quite close to the main railway train station of Ipoh. The colonial architecture is really attracted to me. As it is so hot so the best go there after 5 pm.
