Mt. Hypipamee National Park

The Hypipamee crater is a really unusual thing to see, small but way down deep in a rock outcrop. The path there is well maintained through the forest. The viewing platform maximises the views of the crater and gives that wow factor. Definitely worth a visit.

We visited the Malanda Falls Visitors Centre today, and the wonderful volunteers were so helpful and were always keen to explain any if the exhibits. COVID19 has closed a number of the exhibits requiring headphones, but even so, the remaining viewings were well presented. We bought a sneaky sticker and card with the elusive tree kangaroo, before heading out to the nearby Falls and walk in the hope of seeing one in the wild.

Malanda Falls

Reviewed By joniquelife - Australia, null

There is a car park at top near information center, only 100m to the bottom. Man made pool at the base of the fall with ladders and stairs leading in, very touristy and can be very strong currents after rain. You can swim here and there is lovely short walks nearby “Jonique Life” Follow our journey around Australia on Facebook, Instagram and YouTube as we highlight wonderful experiences and magical places you can add to your ever growing bucket list.
