Statue of Maine schoolgirl who became famous after writing to the Soviet Union to appeal for peace.
Loved visiting the statue of Samantha Reed Smith - it is hidden on the side of a building next to the Capitol at Augusta, Maine.

Who would not like a seal statue protecting the Rockport harbor. Beautiful setting and Andre is surround by flowers (though I think the seal would prefer fish). It’s nice to visit if you are down the the Rockport Harbor.

This is a stop we make Every time we go to Eastport. She is placed in front of the bay and makes for a great backdrop.

This is a small memorial spot featuring a lovely sculpted memorial to fisherman lost at sea. Since this is a fishing community it has strong emotional ties to the town. In addition to the sculpted memorial, you can spend a few quiet moments here watching the fishing boats and the famous Bay of Fundy tides go in and out. Since the memorial is on "the narrows" between Lubec and Campobello the tides can be pretty dramatic - looking as much like rapids on the Colorado River (with clean clear water) as anything oceanic.
