Maidstone is a large, historically important town in Kent, England, of which it is the county town. The River Medway runs through the centre of the town, linking it with Rochester and the Thames Estuary. Historically, the river carried much of the town's trade as the centre of the agricultural county of Kent, known as the Garden of England. There is evidence of settlement in the area dating back before the Stone Age. The town, part of the borough of Maidstone, had a population of 107,627 people in 2011. There has been a shift in the town's economy since the Second World War away from heavy industry towards light industry and services.

The multi-award winning Vinorium was born from a simple desire to combine what we love and to offer the world a truly independent wine merchant. A merchant who does not stand behind pretence but fundamentally delivers on its core values, which we believe we achieve day-in-day-out. Australia is enjoying a much-deserved renaissance and we fundamentally believe we are several years ahead of the curve with many wine merchants relying on importers as a source of predictable, unimaginative wine selections. Our energy and the desire to exclusively represent Australia’s greatest wine producers has gained The Vinorium the reputation as the United Kingdom’s leading Australian specialist, capped-off with the prodigious IWC Australian Specialist of the Year & Decanter Best Australian Specialist 2018.
The Vinorium offer an unequalled on-line wine buying experience, they really are a fantastic bunch...!!! The website itself is a dream to browse through and full of spectacular wines - each wine accompanied with notes and ratings, often from more than one well respected critic... In the unlikely event of needing to speak to customer service, you can be confident that this experience too is efficient, seamless and generally excellent... If we were to rate wine merchants via the same 100 point scoring scale that are used for the wines themselves, then I would unequivocally give The Vinorium a fully deserved 100 points...!!!

The modern architect designed space is home to quality contemporary art made by an engaging roster of artists. All these artists create innovative and beautiful work with a shared theme central to their practice– fascinating process. The gallery, working studio and sculpture garden, situated near Lenham Kent contains the landmark concrete chamber where owner Nick Veasey creates his x-ray art.
Very modern gallery, beautifully designed and exciting to approach. Inside, plenty of light on a grey winter's day. The exhibition of x-ray art was quite mesmerising. We were shown round by the delightful Chelsea who gave us insights into Nick Veasey and his process of creating and assembling x-ray photos. She also gave us a peek into the x-ray chamber. Well worth a visit to experience something genuinely innovative.
