The tour itself was pretty good. The guide was knowledgeable with adequate English. The park is the must see & best approached from a stay in Puerto Natales.. We were picked up just after 7am but since we were back by 4, surely you could make the start & finish an hour later, rather than getting started so early. Secondly it's absurd to run a tour to the Milodon caves & the National park without including the admissions - what would you do if someone didn't have the 25,000 pesos to get into the National park? Leave them at the gate?. Be honest, passengers should have the Chilean equivalent of about $42 each US in cash to fully participate in this tour. We would still have taken the tour - but we wouldn't have been worrying whether we has enough cash left for dinner.

Did this trip in February. To sum it up it consists of 11 hours in a minivan to visit three churches in Chiloe, none of them is interesting unless you are an academic interested in the technical details of wooden church building in the mid 19th century. However good the guides are (and our guide was excellent) this piece of Chile is not worth visiting. The drive to Castro in Chiloe island comprises a 70km motorway run to a ferry and then more than two hours driving along a scruffy, semi industrialised road with no redeeming features to Castro. On arrival the only logical question is "why bother". There are so many beautiful places in Chile I would suggest that people give this excursion a swerve and prevent the total waste of a day of their lives.

You will be part of an unforgettable experience that will take you to one of the farthest points on Earth. The coldest, highest, windiest, driest and less populated continent. A continent that has been completely sunk by ice, which has not only shaped its topography but also influenced its evolution. On 1989, DAP began flying to King George Island in Antarctica and now is the private airline with more experience in flying there. This place is one of the only places on earth that is still pristine, It is, therefore, why, it has become an important reserve for the biosphere. Its unique beauty contrasted with its extreme weather conditions, make it an exotic and enchanting destination for all those privileged travelers who are planning a visit to the end of the world. On the aircraft, you will fly over the Magellan Strait, Tierra del Fuego Island, Darwin Mountain Range, mythical Cape Horn and the raft Drake Passage to finally arrive at King George Island, Gateway to the White Continent.

Inclusions: Breakfast, Lunch or a snack during the expedition depending on the place and time of arrival, Half board included per person during the four consecutive nights in hotel, DAP Plane tickets, Insurance of civil liability covers all passengers against risks while they are on the airplane, Insurance of civil liability covers all passengers when boarding or disembarking via the stairs, Special jacket and a pair of boots for the tour in case you do not have the adequate equipment

Exclusions: Gratuities, Insurance to cover civil liability derived from any injuries or illnesses while being outside plane, Appropiate gloves, shoes, waterproof jackets, hat and scarf

Everyone agrees that the best time to visit Patagonia is during the summer months of December to February but you can also travel through many areas of northern Chile throughout the year. The main season is in September - March when average daytime ranges from 65°F in the sun to the low 40°s. We highly recommend visiting Patagonia during summer (December to March), since it´s the warmest time of year, of course, with average high temperatures of around 15°C but in this time winds are at their strongest and can reach over 74 miles an hour. During Fall: March, April and May, is a pleasant time to go photographing wildlife and landscapes and marvel on the Patagonia's changing plant life. Winds are not as strong as they are in the spring. Daily highs fall into the 40's and 50's, making comfortable conditions for exploration. REQUIREMENTS: Meet the minimum age 25 years old A valid driver’s license and passport for each driver. (An international permit is not necessary to drive in Chile)

Inclusions: Breakfast, Breakfast, Breakfast, Breakfast, Breakfast, 1 night accommodation at Hotel Cabo de Hornos, 2 nights accommodation at Hotel Martin Gusinde, 2 nights accommodation at Hotel Rio Serrano, Free Parking at the hotels , 6 days car rental, category D (Nissan XTrail 4x2 automatic or similar), Unlimited Kilometers, local taxes, Pick-Up and Drop-Off at Punta Arenas around 12:00 PM, CWD, PAI and SACA insurances, Tailor-Made Itinerary featuring a day-by-day breakdown, Activities and museums schedule, suggested restaurants, etc

Exclusions: Gasoline , Extra days , Extras at the hotel, Meals , Personal Insurance

We had booked a trip with this agency to the Patagonia Ecocamp for after Easter. Three of us paid a twenty percent deposit to stay for 6 nights. Right up until the moment the country’s borders closed the consultant was chasing us almost daily to pay the balance. After it became impossible to fly there it still took some time for them to admit the camp was closed. They have refused to return the significant deposit we paid telling us to claim on insurance ( pandemics aren’t covered on our insurance). They have offered to transfer the deposit on a year but who knows if they will even be around then. They have also been chasing us to confirm new dates for next year when frankly that is the last thing on our minds. Presumably if we had paid the whole sum ( thousands for a suite dome and a superior dome) as they requested they would have refused to refund that either. My advice would be to be careful making advance payment to them.

The dramatically shaped mountains in Chile’s Torres del Paine National Park, may have been what I most wanted to see when I booked a trip to Patagonia. Then reality struck. Was it worth an early alarm, a 3 + hour bus trip each way with a burdensome Argentina Chile border crossing? An emphatic YES.! My wife and I loved the guided tour bus trip which included a short ( one and a half hour) hike. The scenery is as dramatic and beautiful as anything I have seen anywhere in the world. Any photographs you have seen do not do it justice. Make Torres del Paine a must visit in any trip to Patagonia. Wonderful!

We did a 12 day customized trip in 2018. Found this company through Zicasso, Kieran was great arranging it all and communication was easy. Our trip started in Buenos Aires where we did a cooking class at the Argentine Experience and took a tango lesson. Our dance instructors took us out to a milongo afterwards and we ended up staying out until 2am. It was great! We felt completely immersed in the culture. We then flew to Iguazu and toured the jungle, got blasted by the falls in a boat ride and saw all the incredible creatures that live there. Our last 5 days were spent hiking in Patagonia where we trekked the Perito Moreno Glacier, visited a ranch, and then drove to El Chalten for the final days. All of our transportation was provided, all internal flights booked by Kieran, and everything was just wonderful. To this day, it’s one of my favorite vacations!

10. 6-Day Glacier and Hiking Tour in Patagonia

Experience Argentina

This six day Patagonia hiking holiday explores the best of this dramatic region. You’ll be based for five nights in the town of El Calafate, the gateway to the region. The first few days are all about glaciers. You’ll spend the bulk of your time at the Perito Moreno glacier, which sits in Los Glaciares National Park. There will be plenty of time to appreciate its heft (its front wall is 5km long) from nearby walking trails and viewing platforms, and you’ll also get the chance to grab the crampons and go ice hiking at its base. More glacial action comes in the form of a boat trip to Upsala Glacier, where you’ll sail past icebergs and snow covered peaks, as well as go off roading or hiking to take in more of the stunning landscape. Your last day is spent taking in the mountains, pampas and forests of Torres del Paine National Park, as well as spotting the magnificent wildlife that inhabits these parts, including wild guanacos rheas, condors and Patagonian hare.

Inclusions: Breakfast, Breakfast, Breakfast, Breakfast, Lunch, Breakfast, 5 nights accommodation, All taxes, fees and handling charges, Local taxes, Local guide, All activities, Hotel/port pickup, Hotel/port drop-off, Round-trip shared transfer, Air-conditioned vehicle

Exclusions: Entrance fee to National Parks
