If you are already pleased with overwhelming impressions of minimalistic art in swedish interior and looking for something totally different, the Farmacy Svanen in Lund would be just right for you. A piece of well preserved example of an old pharmacy is still existing on Kyrkogatan 5 in Lund. You will be very surprised to see the atmosphere of early 1900s squeezed between modern shops on this street. The pharmacy is very easy to find by their distinguished storefront with beautiful green columns and the golden swan in the middle. In 1647 The of Apotek Svanen (“Pharmacy Swan” in english) established location on the street Kyrkogatan and now classified as the oldest pharmacy in Sweden. The present interior was sculpted in by Folke Zettervall and produced by woodcarver Ola Nilsson from Kristianstad. Decorative wood patterns depict swedish pharmacological plants, widely used in the beginning of 1900s century. Very authentic design, inspired by Arts and Crafts movement, present the spirit of this time in Scandinavia. Entrance is free and mini-shopping is optional, but could be nice to support that historical heritage.

This is a beautifully built cathedral. It is worth a visit with a day trip from Malmo. The interior of the cathedral is beautiful and you can visit the basement of the church as well. A must visit when in Lund.
