Camp Plymouth State Park

State park contains the site of a former gold-mining company.

Beautiful place to spend the day. There were not a ton of people so we felt very safe (covid). Benches to sit on, grills to cook on, a lake to swim, enough trades to stay in the shade if your want relief from the sun. Only 4 dollars per person for the whole day.

Jackson Gore Ski Area

Opening in the 2003-04 winter season, this new addition to the Okemo mountain area features trails reminiscent of classic New England with sweeping turns and gently curves.

We stayed at the Jackson Gore Inn for ski in / ski out. The Coleman Brook lift is right out the door. A short ride to Quantum Four gets you access to the entire resort.

Wine and Cheese Depot

This small shop features a diverse selection of wines from around the world, with a focus on small production wineries. Two cheese cases feature local cheeses with a small selection of imported cheeses. Most cheese is cut to order.

This is a great locally-owned wine and cheese shop that is a must-visit if you are in the Ludlow/Okemo area. Leslie is incredibly helpful (and kind!), recommended a great variety of Vermont and French cheeses and loaded us up with perfectly paired wine. Our husbands went back a couple days later and she remembered us, our wine preferences, and sent the boys back with another great selection of wine for a formal home-cooked dinner.

Buttermilk Falls

An easy walk off road short hike and well worth the effort. It is a beautiful, scenic area. If it had been warmer I would have dived right in!
