Lucca's array of wonderfully intact historical sites makes it a must-see stop on any Tuscan itinerary. The medieval city walls still stand—you can hike or bike on top of them. Also visit the Duomo di San Martino and the Roman amphitheater.

Bought an excellent Chianti today. Lovely man owns the shop. No hard sell and great conversation. Recommended if you fancy some good wine or olive oil to take home

if you are looking for REAL Made in Italy this is the place ! Rossella (the weaver) was weaving a cashmere scarf on the wooden loom inside the boutique. Many of the scarves they sell are made by Rossella... the ones that are not woven by her are made in the factory which is located in a small village in the province of Lucca since 70 years (it's a family business) so everything is really made in Lucca !!!! they use fibers from italian suppliers ... NO SYNTHETIC FIBERS !!!!! They answered to all my questions with patience and dedication it's been a wonderful experience !

La Vineria Dolce Vita is an old-style family operated store in the heart of Lucca – a town bursting with charm, history, literary and musical traditions, but also time-honored wine and culinary customs. We offer a vast selection of local wines: DOC Colline Lucchesi and DOC Montecarlo. Not only local labels but also those of classic Tuscan wines: Chianti, Chianti Classico, Brunello di Montalcino, Montecucco , and the famous Bogheri Supertuscans. You will also find a selection of sparkling wines with prosecco, spumante, and champagne. We offer a large assortment locally produced extra virgin olive oil, including DOP certified. To go along with these two excellences of wine and olive oil, we provide local and regional gastronomic specialties including: craft beer, limoncello, grappa, pasta, sauces, spices, jams, jellies for cheese, pâtés, honey, legumes, farro, flours, soups, flavoured oils, a large assortment of bakery biscotti, and Buccellato - the famous sweet bread from Lucca.
