We will be opening for 2018 on April 27th! We also have a couple new animals and exhibits this year...come on by and experience the wild! We hope you enjoy your visit!
My family and I visited here with our young daughter and had a great time. It is well designed for young children and our daughter had fun feeding some animals. The safari ride was excellent...there may be a slight preference to sitting on the left side of the bus.

This is Ada's covered bridge. It has a long history and has been rebuilt several times. It is now a tourist attraction and is the center of a great little park with a baseball diamond, tables, and tree shaded river beach. Always worth a few minutes out of a busy day. Kids love it.....don't know why.....our grandson loves to push leaves through the gaps in the boards and then run around to watch them float down the Thornapple River.....endlessly entertaining for him at his age (3).

New Union is a neighborhood brewery in Lowell's historic downtown district. Community driven taproom offers a wide variety of handcrafted ales. No food available, but you can bring in your own. Great staff (Kriss and Kelsey are our favorites! They even feature live local music on Thursday nights! The beer is tasty and frssh as can be.

As a gathering place, our property is ideal for a wide variety of group activities such as weddings, family gatherings, church, school or company get-togethers. Upon arrival, there are a wagon load of things to do on the property, including fishing, kayaking, "tubing" hayrides, hiking, cross country skiing, photography, snowshoeing , bird watching. Relax in our enclosed hot tub or sitting area overlooking the river. See our website and Facebook page for more pictures and information!
My wife and I had a wonderful time on this most interesting piece of property. We love exploring, hiking and photography, and heard about this place from family members who had stayed at the River Edge's B&B. There is so much diversity....a large spruce and pine forest, a tall prairie grass field, a usefully restored dam foundation hanging above the river, and the forested back drop view of the river is very unique for West Michigan. Saw so many different kinds of birds including waterfowl while walking along the long stretch of river bank.
One interesting thing we discovered while visiting with the owners was that they will be offering this place for weddings starting next spring. I know my daughters are not ready to get married, but if they do and want an outdoor venue this place will be on the top of our list. Really think this setting would be a dream come true for brides and their photographers.
We would strongly recommend River Edge for almost any type of outdoor gathering or group activity. It would be best described as an all natural private park. The terraced area near the river area is ideal for almost any sized tent, and would offer a picture perfect view of the river for all the guests. I am very confident we will be returning in the near future.

This park is a real gem. We find this park to be perfect for a nice hour or more of hiking. The park is beautiful all year long. It is maintained well with good trail maps at the trail head. There is good parking off Grand River. Dogs are allowed but must be on a leash. There are areas that will get your heart pumping and other area to just stroll and enjoy the scenery and birds. Its my favorite place to hike within a busy suburban neighborhood but it feels to me like I am somewhere up north.

Sportcards, Comic Books and Tabletop Games, all things fun.
If you are you looking for comic books, sportcards, or tabletop games - this is where you want to go. The owner is extremely knowledgeable and friendly. The prices are great. Right in the heart of downtown Lowell.
