In addition to being a children's bookstore, we host a summer concert series and book drive benefiting a local literacy program that helps struggling students. Every Wednesday June-August we hire musicians, jugglers, and other entertainers to delight children and their families. Suggested donation is a book per family but we don't turn anyone away. Locals often bring visitors from out of town!
Linden Tree is a staple of the Los Altos downtown scene, and is a very nice, clean, and professionally run bookstore. In this day and age, it is likely to go out of business soon, as Amazon has completely taken over bookselling, which is unfortunate. Enjoy this place while you can, bring your kids, or just hangout on the benches out front.

The demeanor of Christ Church is totally relevant and in step with today. It is affiliated with the Ventana grammar school. All is overseen by the Rev Claire Dietrich Ranna who has won the hearts and minds of the congregation since arriving in Los Altos in early 2017.

The exhibits rotates maybe 3-5 times/year. The emphasis is on local history and talent. One of the big draws for all ages is the wonderful miniature working display of "old Los Altos" with lights, bells, whistles and the long lost train that traveled through town twice a day
