What to do and see in London, England: The Best Farmers Markets

July 17, 2021 Malia Yoakum

The crown jewels, Buckingham Palace, Camden Market…in London, history collides with art, fashion, food, and good British ale. A perfect day is different for everyone: culture aficionados shouldn't miss the Tate Modern and the Royal Opera House. If you love fashion, Oxford Street has shopping galore. For foodies, cream tea at Harrod’s or crispy fish from a proper chippy offers classic London flavor. Music and book buffs will love seeing Abbey Road and the Sherlock Holmes Museum (at 221B Baker Street, of course).

Venn Street Market

Venn Street Market is a high quality independent 'produce' market with artisan goods and quality street food for the local community. The market's been running since November 2009 when it first ran as a monthly market - it's now running weekly and has become the central hub of Clapham Old Town and its community where customers are able to shop, meet, eat and dwell whilst enjoying the colours, smells and theatre of the market.. The market is open from 10am to 4pm every Saturday in the heart of Clapham Old Town on a pedestrianised market zone road with restaurants, bars and the cinema close by. We have between 45 and 50 stalls each week selling London's best produce, artisan foods, amazing street food (vegan and non vegan), plus a section of vegan goods (homewares and candles) and handmade crafts..

Amazing market for fish lovers, there were so many varieties of fish, and for so cheap, and i went at 6:30 on a Saturday, and there was only a 15min queue, and i recommend that if you see a long queue, don't be put off, they go very quickly.

If you’re a foodie, you’re definitely going to want to give the Urban Food Fest a visit! There’s always such a great atmosphere there with music, lots of stalls and activities around. Of course, the food is brilliant too, I am always amazed at the selection of cuisines and love trying something new each time I pop round... so far, the Halloumi burger and bubble waffles are definitely a fav! It’s great for anyone with dietary requirements too, I’ve noticed a lot of the stalls have vegetarian, vegan, halal and gluten-free options and are happy to cater to any allergies. Apart from food, there’s a great selection of drinks available with some delicious cocktails! Looking forward to my next visit!

Southbank Centre Food Markets

Reviewed By 216judya

We stumbled upon this Christmas market by accident. It had such a lovely atmosphere with some amazing street food and stalls. There were a couple of funfair rides, a cider bar, sweet treats and all sorts of interesting things. We also went to Hyde Park winter wonderland but Southbank was a more enjoyable visit.
