The crown jewels, Buckingham Palace, Camden Market…in London, history collides with art, fashion, food, and good British ale. A perfect day is different for everyone: culture aficionados shouldn't miss the Tate Modern and the Royal Opera House. If you love fashion, Oxford Street has shopping galore. For foodies, cream tea at Harrod’s or crispy fish from a proper chippy offers classic London flavor. Music and book buffs will love seeing Abbey Road and the Sherlock Holmes Museum (at 221B Baker Street, of course).

Recently refurbished, but still retaining its original 1891 (YES 1891!) historic charm, is this wonderful and fully functioning outdoor velodrome. Hidden in the back streets of southeast London's Herne Hill is this amazing Olympic stadium that hosted Olympic cyclists in the past. Old or young; you get to try it out. We hit the track for toddler balance and mini bike sessions Saturday morning, where games and activities encourage growth and confidence on the track. Held on the 'inner circle', you can watch the pros whizz around the outer track while you 'train'. Just beware crossing the tracks itself to get in and out, with wee ones. The session was just £3 (March 2019), bigger bike and helmet hire is just £1 - so bargain and fresh air all rolled into one. It was a bit windy on our visit, but with flushed cheeks and tightly tied scarfs we soldiered on to victory. Definitely a must to check out this Olympic gem - I've lived in Herne Hill for nearly 20 years and only discovered it a few years back. It's great to be able to take new starters there to find their feet too. Well worth it!

Lord's Cricket Ground is known as the Home of Cricket and is owned by Marylebone Cricket Club - better known, throughout the cricketing world, as MCC. Founded in 1787, MCC is the world's most famous cricket club.
This is the best place in the world to watch cricket. It has an unparalleled atmosphere. The views from all round the ground are good. It is however perhaps a little disappointing being in a covered area on a hot sunny day. There are plenty of places to buy food and drink and there are shops selling cricket goods. There is also the Lord's museum which is free to enter on match days and which has lots of memorabilia on the history of the game. The two criticisms I have of the ground is that you can queue for as much as half an hour to get in on a busy match day and the toilet facilities are totally inadequate. Apart from that, this is a must see venue for a cricket fan.

Chelsea Football Club also offers an established and acclaimed Stadium Tour and Museum attraction, offering an information and exciting insight into Chelsea and Stamford Bridge, alongside an interactive and immersive museum experience.
This was by far one of the best birthday party my son who is a big Chelsea fan had with his friends. Alex and Brianna were our tour guides and they were so great and took their time to explain to the kids the different parts of the stadium, my son loved coming our of the dugout and sitting in the players chairs while the Chelsea anthem playing in the background, he also loved sitting in the manager's seat in the press conference room. They had the opportunity to tour the museum , play PS4 on a huge screen and practice some shootouts. The whole things was so well organized and everyone was amazingly nice and friendly. A highly recommended experience. thank you again for our wonderful tour guides to make this is a great experience

International Cricket Venue and home of Surrey County Cricket Club, the Kia Oval is also a world class conference and events centre.
I go here to watch four day county cricket. A lovely ground to watch the game with good views of central London. Not that busy during county games so plenty of room to wander around and sit. The staff are far more polite than at Lord’s and you can sit anywhere in the ground (bar the pavilion unless you are a member or guest). Tickets good value for a day’s play. Plenty of history to see in the pavilion so try to go in there via a tour or as a guest.

As a decades-long Arsenal Fan/Member, (who loved the atmosphere at Highbury), I now greatly enjoy the opportunity to come to the magnificently-modern "Emirates" a few times a year. Getting there by "Tube" (we use the Piccadilly Line - exiting at Holloway Road) is extremely easy, the stewarding is well-organised, the merchandise in the "Armoury" Shop is seductively brilliant (you could easily spend a fortune here, but there are attractive items at all price-levels), and entry to the Stadium itself is smoothly handled by all involved. As before, our "Seats" were on the North Bank, home to many staunch "Gooners" - I say "Seats", because they don't sit here, preferring to stand throughout the Match, which is a bit problematic for those "vertically challenged" (particularly Kids) - I don't have a problem, as I'm over 6 Ft. tall, but "M" (my "Better Half") is not quite so lucky. Anyway, this time around, on a quite cold, and intermittently wet, November Saturday afternoon, we were playing Wolves - a Team which, in normal times, we could reasonably expect to beat, especially "At Home". But these are far from "normal times" : our Team gave yet another anemic display, with questionable tactics, and some highly doubtful substitutions by our current Manager. For their part, Wolves were organised and sturdy (at times cynical) in defence, lively and effective in the breakaway. There was certainly little to cheer on the "North Bank"! We were fortunate, in my view, to escape with a 1-1 Draw, and - not for the first time - as our Team underperforms, and we inevitably drift away from at least a "Top 4" position, are we paying a severe price for recruiting an apparently Grade 2/3 Coach/Manager? With these sobering thoughts, we made our way back from "Emirates" ; the "Arsenal" Tube Station is certainly nearer to our exit Gates, but it gets backed-up with crowds very quickly, and you're likely to end-up (often in the rain) standing for quite a time, as the Queue/Line inches forward very slowly. Over the years we've found it much better to head-off to the right of the exiting throngs, and take a slightly longer walk to "Finsbury Park" Station, where you will usually find yourself seated on a Tube Train very promptly - as we did, again, on this occasion. Enjoy "Emirates Stadium" - but don't expect a great Team performance under this Coach/Manager!

Journey into Emirates Stadium and go on an all access behind-the-scenes tour. You’ll have the opportunity to walk in the footsteps of your heroes, listen to their matchday experiences and explore never before seen footage. Tours available in 10 languages.
You get full freedom to walk the stadium on your own with a hand held device that leads you around and gives you information whilst you go! Sat in the directors box, was allowed in the changing rooms plus we got to go into unai emery’s office, the press conference rooms along with the interview room and then got to walk out onto the side of the pitch through the players tunnel! I’d highly recommend doing it yourself.
