What a lovely zoo. Project based zoo, saving and rescuing animals , is located in the hills of Saint Martin la Plaine. 40 mn from Lyon by road. They host animals from lions, tigers, gorillas, a nice vivarium, and many monkeys of all varieties Wolves and bears and more. It s worth the visit, but be ready to walk the hills. You can easily spend 4 hours without noticing

We spent the afternoon at the monastery. The guided tour (in English) was extremely informative, pleasant and fun. Highly recommend taking the guided tour. Beautiful area. Beautiful monastery that has areas both in ruins and renovated.
