While geocaching in the Logan Lake area, my sister and I visited the Blue Bird Trail. The scenery all around us was spectacular -- from a lookout point located on a viewing deck, we studied the lake's inlet as well as the majestic forest. We also discovered that this area was part of a bird migratory route. A posted sign depicted a total of 18 different birds, including three types of bluebird that came to Logan Lake. We could see their nesting boxes, maintained by local volunteers, hanging from fence posts. We watched a solitary duck swim in a puddle of water as we searched for and eventually found the geocache hidden in this interesting area.

Located on beautiful Logan Lake, beside the Meadow Creek Golf Course, we are steps from the Copper Ridge Golf Course, trout fishing, bird watching, walking and bike trails. Being only 1 km from the downtown core, spraypark and playground, we are the perfect stop on your trip!
The view of the lake from our campsite (#42) was breath-taking! We assigned space 42 on a high hill and we could see forever! For those who golf, the nine-hole Meadow Creek Golf Club is close by the campground. Fishing is available along with boating, horseshoes, hiking and picnics. The Tourist Information Centre is also located in the campground Office. Self-contained units are recommended due to covid and residents of British Columbia only due to the province's restart plan. Operational guidelines due to covid are posted and given to each occupant upon registration. Our site was huge with a picnic table and fire ring. Free wifi with good reception is provided. Garbage and recycle bins were nearby. A pergola was just below us in a grassy area. It was very quiet during the evening hours and throughout the night. Prices are reasonable with our site at $24 per night. Check out time is 11:00 am.
