The third-largest city in Poland, Lodz's historical and global significance is largely due to the ghetto that was built there during World War II. Strolling the picturesque central streets will give you an appreciation for the strength of this city and its citizens. Explore the Muzeum Sztuki modern art museum, which houses one of the most important collections of modern art in Poland, or spend the day thrill-seeking at Lunapark amusement park.

Went last week to see the Haydn Opera in Lodz. Had a fabulous evening with a hugely enjoyable fun opera about a pharmacist in a Fiat Quinquicento (Lo Speziale). Terriic set and superb props. Really inventive, abd brilliantly executed. I booked online from London. It was effortless. Staff were brilliant. everything done to a high standard.A really fione asset for the city of Lodz. A marvellous, attractive and understated building deserving more status in the city. Thank you for a super evening. Roger from London
