Walk or take the tram to the summit of the Great Orme—you’ll be rewarded with a splendid view of Llandudno, a popular seaside resort in Wales. (Just take a jacket. It can be chilly up there.) On your way up, stop at the Great Orme Copper Mine for a fascinating look at how copper was mined 3,000 years ago.

The best collection of owls on display to the public in the whole of Wales.
This lovely place genuinely brought warmth to a cold, winter's day. My wife drove us here from Mold and was relatively easy to find. We had a warm welcome from Bill (and Colin the dog) and were soon in the hands of one of the more than capable and very knowledgeable and pleasant volunteers (Jo) for a proper tour of the aviaries. What a wonderful experience. One that will last a lifetime - as will my love of owls. But it isn't just owls (of which there are many different varieties!) There are other birds of prey to see and a couple of other surprises, besides. Although it might seem obvious - if you do go; please don't rattle the cages or be too noisy around the poor creatures - they are largely nocturnal and you need to respect that. Please.
