Slovenia, wedged between Austria and Italy, has always been proud of its unique heritage. The capital, Ljubljana, is a perfect example of this blend of German, Mediterranean, and Slovenian culture. The old town is a blend of Baroque, Renaissance, and Art Nouveau buildings, watched over by a medieval castle. Cut through the gardens of Tivoli Park to the National Museum of Contemporary History for a history of modern Slovenia, featuring crumbled statues of Stalin and a recreation of a WWI trench.

Gems cut out of the rock One cannot visit Slovenia without visiting Postojna Cave, the largest Karst cave in Slovenia with as much as 24 km of fantastic grid of tunnels, galleries and halls. Starting with electric train taking you inside, like no where else in the World, then proceed for a walking tour. Not only England, but Slovenia too has its own Robin Hood: Erazem of Predjama Castle was a headstrong and rebellious “robber baron” who stole from the rich to give to the poor. Visit impregnable Predjama Castle that reigns perched high up a vertical cliff.
Inclusions: Transport, English speaking chauffeur guide, Postojna Cave entrance fee and guided tour, Predjama Castle entrance fee and audio guide

A day trip from our cruise with Celebrity Cruises. The trip was from Koper a short 90 mins away. The capital was very interesting to go round with our informative guide. The samples of wine and salted chocolate went down a treat. Will have to come back again in the future.

We decided for a three day activity: Cycling, hiking and kayaking. Trips were really nice, because we visited the corners of Slovenia that we could't find ourselves. Cycling and hiking were not very hard, it was a pleasure for all day. We tried best local food and wine. The kayaking lessons was very wet. Unforgettable experience. We recommend.

Our tourist guide Tjaša made the tour really enjoyable and a pleasant experience. We laughed a lot, considering it was a tour on a graveyard but were also impressed by all the interesting facts she knew about the people which were buried there. Slovenia has a really cool history when told by someone who know how to tell an interesting story.

This tour is definitely different for many reasons: - it is run by locals and locals only. We are not only licensed tour guides but have also lived in Ljubljana for decades and know the city like our own pocket. - most of the guides have high formal education, and are glad to explain more also about economy, art, politics, contemporary social issues and how people of Slovenia live today. - the tour is a private tour. Which means we dedicate our time and knowledge to you and to you only. It also means you do not have to share the attention and squeeze with 30 other tourists, which often happens at "free" or other non-private tours. - we are aware of negative impacts of tourism on local environment. We will always present you locally made products and not products of multinational companies and will introduce you to sustainable tourism practices in Ljubljana. - the tour can be customized. - we will not bore you with numbers and years of every laid brick. The tour is also fun :).

Great and informative tour with interesting insights about the history and culture of Ljubljana and - of course- various types of craft beers. For us, the private tour with Peter was a great combination of sightseeing and fun. Peter was a great guide who shared many interesting information with us and answered all our questions about Slovenia, its capital and the art of making craft beer. Highly recommend this tour, esp. to people who are visiting the city for the first time or want to learn more about craft beers.

My guide was Alenka. She met me at the hotel from there we went to the start of the hike. My recommendation is wear good shoes - no flip flops. Most of the time you are in the shade. There are some steep parts but take your time. Alenka even had hiking poles for me. The poles were great for the way done. Once you get to the top the view is outstanding. Lunch is provided at the top. Highly recommend!

We enjoyed the hidden secrets of Ljubljana tour with Primoz. He guided us to a number of hidden gems that we would not have noticed had we toured on our own. He is very knowledgeable about the city and was prepared with print material to better describe and explain certain aspects of the city, which was really helpful. His manner throughout our 2 hour tour was pleasant, considerate and full of fun and interesting facts. The time just flew. Especially appreciated, was the spectacular sunset that he orchestrated for our pleasure at the end of the tour on Butcher's Bridge ( with all the lover's locks ). Great way to end a very nice tour!! Thank you!!
