Next to Napa and Sonoma, this is the "quieter" wine region of California.
Unlike the sprawling metropolises of Southern CA, Livermore is a city (town) of just over 89,000 residence. Sandia and Livermore Labs are two of the major companies for employment and as such you will meet a lot of well educated, friendly people. Four of the things I like most in Livermore include at least 41 wineries, and five breweries, all of which produce some fine selections. My next favorite item in Livermore is the quaint main street with sidewalk dining and a fantastic choice of restaurants from which to choose. Then there is the Thursday Farmers Market where one can pick up locally grown farm fresh produce, honey and more. And finally if you are looking for a gentle walk, Livermore offers some very scenic pathways with plenty of flora, fauna and friendly wildlife.

This park was beautiful and the restrooms were SPOTLESS CLEAN! If I were not a gimp, I'd give this park 4 stars (1 less due to construction in park right now), but alas, I AM a gimp. Upon checking in specifically asked for a wheelchair accessible and the most level spot possible with utilities. The spot we were given was so steep and un-level that my poor hubby had to carry my lame butt over to the rig. Lots of other spots were empty and 100% level (with utilities) so IDK what their problem was (some people just dislike old gimpy women, ya know?).
We recently visited this premium outlets during their President's Day sale and was pleasantly surprised at the vast sale going on. There are plenty to choose from for every member of the family. Coach was on sale for 70% off and the line was really long. Prada, Gucci, Burberry, Tory Burch, Ferragamo are just a few of the luxury branch that are situated in this outlet. A must visit for bargain hunters.

We had an enjoyable tasting with Ashley as our hostess. She was fun and entertaining as well as helpful in explaining history and background of the family and the wines themselves. We came early on a week day and everything was immaculate. I can imagine that the weekends are quite busy as this is a large estate with a large tasting room. Nice selection of wines

It is a must visit for the Hindu community of Bay Area. The Hindu Community and Cultural Center provides them an opportunity to celebrate the festivals together and a place to keep in touch with each other. The 31 year old temple has all major temples like Shiva,Balaji,Seetharama,Ganesh,Hanuman,Parvathi,Radhakrishna etc.,They celebrate all major festivals. The complex is very spacious and maintained well.It has assembly hall, auditorium and ample space for weddings and social gatherings. Most of the common poojas are performed here. The Prasadam they distribute is sumptuous and tasty.we visited on Sriramanavami and lunch was offered to the devotees.Despite Rush they organised festival in a very smooth and systematic way.
Though not a major tourist attraction,it is right place for enjoying divine blessings ,taking a break from routine mechanical life .

Really love the Bankhead; the variety of shows and talks is wonderful. From Chinese Drummers, to Nobel laureates on a variety of topics, to the kids version of Nutcracker. Comedy shows, musicals, renowned musicians and performers, there is always something for everyone. Never a bad seat in the house; the acoustics are good, and it retains the feel of a community theater with resounding aspirations to please its clientele with high quality performances.

Excellent craft brew of a series of specialty crafted and hopped brews. The flight tasting option is highly recommended. Find a barrel and order a pizza from the truck outside. Good prices on the growlers! The tenders are hard working and efficient.

We started our hike around 9am - if the weather is warm/ hot it's worth getting up there early as you'll soon warm up and there is very little shade.
We saw countless gophers and other wildlife. Dogs are allowed but must be kept on leads at all times.
We did a wonderful circular hike which took up about 2 1/4 hours, enjoying the quiet and stunning views. All this just a few minutes away from Livermore, perfect.
