The Renaissance Bogenšperk Castle was built at the beginning of the sixteenth century by the Wagen family - who gave the castle its name - Wagensperg. The castle changed several owners before it was bought by Janez Vajkard Valvasor and his wife. Valvasor gradually turned the castle into a cultural and science centre boasting a print studio and a rich library. This golden period lasted until 1692.Bogenšperk castle is today a major Slovenian cultural landmark, with a museum based on the life and work of Janez Vajkard Valvasor. One can take a stroll trough the castle park, opt for a exercise on the castle track or enjoy at the castle inn Krčma.
This small, but cute castle stands on a little hill near city Litija. The castle was first mentioned in year 1533. It has a square floor plan. The castle has a medieval appearance. It has several museum collections, the wedding hall, park, restaurant. We visited it three times, twice with guide. It was never crowded. Recommended to visit it.

Park, with its 6 courses and a huge Flying Fox, offers a wide and diverse range of experience for the entire family. It enables children to have several hours of carefree fun while climbing the different elements and offers an adrenaline test for the parents in the treetops. Adventure Park Geoss can simultaneously accept over 150 adventurers. Nearby natural and cultural attractions enable us to accommodate even a group of up to 200 people at once. Ideal for socializing with colleagues, friends, and other groups.
We spend a night sleeping in tree-tops, which they also offer. Next day we went to the park. First to blue route, then to red and gold. Red was our favorite, it is the longest and full of fun obstacles. Gold is pretty challenging, 25m above the ground and with really long obstacles. I think every person can find something for them because they have so many different levels. Would recommend for everyone who seeks for fun! Ps.: it is also great for hot, sunny days because it is located deep in the forrest with a lot of shadow from the trees so it is not hot. Well you will definitely sweat from all the adrenalin, but not from heat. ;)
