What to do and see in Lisbon, Central Portugal: The Best Walking Tours

November 25, 2021 Timmy Ribble

The museums of Lisbon celebrate the rich history and culture of this Portuguese capital city. The Maritime Museum is perfect for kids (and grown-ups!) who adore all things nautical, while the Casa-Museu Dr. Anastácio Gonçalves is a hidden gem of colorful artwork. To fully appreciate the city’s dramatic stone architecture you can take a guided walking tour, or customize your own tour, making sure to visit the Padrao dos Descobrimentos, the Mosteiro dos Jeronimos, and the UNESCO World Heritage site the Torre de Belem.

I highly recommend the "Taste of Lisboa Food Tours" - Filipa went out of her way to research local places to shop and eat to fit my clean Keto-diet (Gluten/Dairy Free, Grass Feed/Grass Finished eats, and pasture-raised poultry), the farmers markets were amazing! I know now where to go grab a coffee and lunch and shop. Thanks Filipa!

We came to Lisbon while the city was still in quarantine from Covid, so restaurants were only open for take away. Felipa was kind enough to schedule us for a cooking lesson instead. We had a wonderful time and would recommend cooking lessons as well. We can't wait to return in August for the food tour. Thank you Felipa!

Booked the private surf session, totally worth it. Pick-up on time, very friendly staff. Instructor was great, obviously had a lot of experience whilst making sure we (and the people around us) were safe. For someone who is somewhat allergic to sports and tried surf for the first time, it was a great experience, and it is highly recommended. The photos+Videos came the same day and even those were of good quality and nice moments shot. On our next visit to Lisbon we are first checking these guys' availability on their other packages, then booking anything else.
