One of my favourite parts about my home town I grew up in, lincoln. This lovely little sweet shop is at the bottom of steep hill and I will be sure to visit every time I come back home and pop into town! They have all the best old school sweeties!! And the staff are just great. I love how tiny it is and you get such a great experience when you’re in there, always a pleasant conversation! Hope this stays for a long time more. Big love!

I first discovered the shop in 1996 while visiting Lincoln and its surroundings. At the time, it was quite small but full to the brim of exciting teas. As a tea lover, I couldn’t wait to try various blends and types so bought several and brought them home to Belgium. I was amazed at the quality and started ordering tea from the shop on a nearly yearly basis. I later moved to Canada and kept ordering tea from Imperial Teas as it was impossible to find anything remotely close to the outstanding quality of their products. I will be moving back to Europe this year and look forward to visiting Lincoln again and having tea at the new premises. Throughout these 24 years, staff has always been most kind and helpful. Also looking forward to their new website.

Lincoln’s only beer shop and tasting rooms. Owned by a local brewery The Crafty Bottle boasts a selection of over 300 beers from all over the world as well as local beers. Two local beers from Lincolnshire Brewing Company are always on draught aswell as other guest ales from time to time. Beer tasting session are also available by pre booking only.
I never visit Lincoln without popping in to the Crafty Bottle. It’s a beautifully presented shop with really friendly & knowledgeable staff who are always happy to have a chat and give advice whether you’re buying a present for someone or treating yourself. They don’t just stock ale, their shelves boast superb ciders, meads plus gins and rums and so much more. Big emphasis on local (grab a couple of bottles of beer by the Lincolnshire Brewing Company) and don’t leave without enjoying a cheeky pint of cask ale. ~Best wishes from Cleethorpes. See you soon.

Housed in a timbered 16th Century building within the Cathedral Quarter, Harding House Gallery provides a unique and exciting place for artists to exhibit their work. The Co-operative was set up in 1994 by a group of local artists who decided to establish a much needed outlet for the contemporary visual arts in Lincoln, and HHG is now one of the most successful artist’s co-operatives in the country. We are a diverse group of artists or makers of contemporary craft, and between us we are entirely responsible for the staffing and daily functioning of the Gallery. Our members are also active in other areas such as teaching, running workshops, arts consultancy, exhibiting in and supplying galleries and stores around the country, and generally promoting the arts throughout the region. We are open every day from 10am - 5pm, and 11am - 4pm on Sundays (Except Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day).
We popped in here three times over our stay on Steep Hill. The Staff were, without exception, really chatty and also informative about the beautiful crafts displayed by a range of artists and craftsmen. It’s certainly worth a visit and we did not leave empty handed.
