Today was a phenomenal experience from start to finish! Professional driver (Javier) picked us up from hotel on time in nice car and with great conversation. Guide (Eros) was relaxed but professional and had my wife who thought she wouldn’t do well or have fun... LOVE every moment. What I liked was I have worked a few ski seasons so he made it fun for me who is more advanced as well as teaching my wife. The reviews are all good and I completely see why. I review cruise ship tours weekly and this is a 10/10. Cheers

The meeting point is at “Terrua” coffee shop; the baristas are going to share with us their great passion for Peruvian coffee, this small taste is recommended for everybody. After that, there is a 10 minutes walk to Surquillo district. The first stop is going to be in a small local restaurant of“Chicharrones”, delicious traditional pork sandwich. Then we will jump to the local market to see some local products and try a Smoothie made of “Lucuma”. The most popular Peruvian dish is included on this adventure, there is a mandatory stop for ceviche. Our friends from “Lucas”, a small local bakery, are in charge of the sweet part of the tour. You will try some deserts. The next stop is going to be at “La Preferida”, a traditional restaurant in Miraflores. They are going to be waiting for us with a refreshing “Chilcano”, this is a popular long drink made of Pisco. On the way back to Terrua there is one last stop for churros in Manolo´s.

San Lorenzo Island is part of the constitutional province of Callao. It was annexed to this province during the year 1891 and has since been the subject of scientific and historical studies. Isla San Lorenzo is considered the largest of the territory chalaco, as well as the highest altitude within the Peruvian coast. It has a total surface area of 162 hectares that counts in its space with three elevations. In San Lorenzo Island it is possible to find an area where military burial mounds have been found that would have participated during the War of the Pacific; There are also cemeteries where there are remains of pirates who tried to enter the territory, among others, as archaeological remains that show the first settlement of the island, and where there are a total of more than three thousand tombs that belonged to a prehispanic cemetery . The wealth of San Lorenzo is valued in its historical event, from its first occupation, when possibly it was a center ..

My wife and I were on a cruise that stopped in Lima. We found the cruise ship tours did not really cover Lima well, found Discover Lima and booked with them. The group was in a van with two guides, (we had Andrew and Julio) so each stop was with a small group. The Old City stops were great, and we got to see the Inca Market, The Park of Love, and Miraflores as well, all in one comfortable and we'll explained tour. We could all ask questions and get answers both on the ride and walking portions, due to the small size, and this added greatly to the experience. Everyone on the tour enjoyed the whole experience and were congratulating themselves for having found the tour.

I highly recommend booking a food tour with Lima Tasty Tours! Because of our time constraints, we opted for the shorter version of the market tour and it was really amazing. Our guide Arturo was enthusiastic, charismatic, knowledgeable, and very well-liked amongst the vendors in the market we toured. We spent the most time at a fruit stand sampling the incredible produce or Peru. In addition to his knowledge of Peruvian history and evolution of food, Arturo has traveled quite a bit and drew in references to other cuisines as well. On top of that, we left our phone in Arturo's car, and he personally delivered it back to us at our hotel. First-class service! The tour leaves you completely full, so don't worry about leaving hungry... The only tip is that the big meal is lunch which happens towards the end of the tour. For me, the market snacking was amaaaazing but not quite enough as I had skipped breakfast. So, I recommend a light snack before the tour. Don't hesitate to book with Lima Tasty Tours!
