Logne Castle

Reviewed By falien83 - Delft, The Netherlands

The climb towards the ruins is pretty high over a cobblestone path. But when you're there it's so worth it. You can walk around, thru and over the ruins. They wil give you a paper with information.. al over the ruins are numbers that correspondent to a number on the paper, where you can find info about that part. Al the way in the front is a little museum, with a lot of stuff that they found in the well of the castle. Overal, its a pretty climb to get up there.. But so worth it

Fort Eben-Emael

Reviewed By Aipalovik - Brussels, Belgium

Our visit lasted one hour due to lack of time, but we could have stayed longer. The exhibits and the 10 min introductory film are very good and give a clear view of the war context, the strategic importance of the fort, and the reasons why the fort was captured so quickly. The only negative was the status of the path around the top of the fort. While the circuit is relatively well indicated, it is poorly maintained and some sections can be dangerous for pedestrians that do not have good footing especially where the handrails are missing or broken. The path offers views of some of the top bunkers but again access for good views is not always easy. We also missed the side path with the view over the Meuse and the canal.

Cathedral de Liege (Liege Cathedral)

Reviewed By lonewolf44 - Kingston upon Thames, United Kingdom

It's currently covered in scaffolding, but don't let that put you off. Go inside and you'll see this is a magnificent cathedral: a fantastic, intricately carved roof and wonderful stained glass windows. Look out for the white marble statue of Lucifer, hiding behind the pulpit! (He's got claws, budding horns, scaly batlike wings and a look of furtive shame on his face!)

Abbaye du Val-Dieu

Reviewed By diporzio - Naples, Italy

once a Cistercian monastery, the abbey lays between Maastricht and Liege, Built in early 13th century the abbey was destroyed four times in the centuries. Later a brewery was established in the late 20th century, brewing the typical monk’s beer. The garden and park around it is a peaceful, very beautiful spot, especially if it does not rain Absolutely a Must
