Lukas is an amazing tour guide - lots of interesting information but not too much. He was great at communicating with us amidst the COVID restrictions to ensure we were comfortable and able to do the trip. He picked us up at our home which made our lives much easier than having to meet at a different point. We visited a castle, village and then spent most of our time meandering in the park. He was patient with me stopping all the time to take photos and helped my husband pick mushrooms. Lunch was great at a table outside the restaurant. And unlike some tours we have been on, he was a good driver so we didn't get nauseated on the ride. Would definitely recommend him and his tours to anyone and look forward to going somewhere else with him in the future.

It was definitely an experience. We did it with my parents and my 8 year old sister. She got tired of paddling pretty soon. Wouldn't take small children and expect them to paddle the whole way. There were some nice places to stop for beer and refreshments. The weirs were frightening. On the first one, my dad and I capsized and I didn't have the guts to go down the second one. Everybody really enjoyed it and slept well after the journey.

Bohemian Paradise is a large area significant for its rock castles. It is made of three parts and we will visit one of them, the most beautiful - Prachov Rocks. Just one hour by car from Prague, the park is situated 5 km from Jičín city. Mostly local Czech tourists admire mostly local Czech climbers who are trying to conquer various rocks in the park. Yes, this park is still not completely "found" by foreign tourists. However, it is very popular by Czech tourists. You will be climbing constantly up and down to admire another and another view. It is great and intense experience in a virgin nature. You should be moderately fit if you want to see everything. However, the trail may be shortened if you are tired. The total / longest distance of trail in the rocks is 5 km and you can see even little kids climbing all the way with their parents. There is a possibility of lunch after the tour. Park is open all year long.
Inclusions: Air-conditioned vehicle, Snacks, Bottled water, WiFi on board, Ticket to the park, Trekking poles
Exclusions: Lunch
The day trip was very well organised and well spaced with ample time to explore this beautiful town and its major attractions. But if you wished to explore it in details, then it well be better to stay overnight instead.

While Kokořín is majestic medieval castle built in 1320 that attracts visitors because of its preserved construction, Houska is the most mysterious castle in our country. I will be your guide to Kokořín castle first. We will climb its high tower that enables view far and wide. From Kokořín we will move to the main attraction of this tour - Houska castle. You might hear stories about a man - prisoner, who was let to explore this gate and what happened to him. You might hear stories about leader of Swedish marrauders, Oronto, who was killed here in 1640s by a silver bullet. Most foreign visitors to the Czech Republic will visit Prague and several other cities, while the Czech countryside remains nothing more than scenery behind bus windows. This is a shame because the countryside helps you understand where notes from Smetana´s, Dvořák´s, Janáček´s and Martinů´s pieces come from and what inspired the pallets of leadind Czech painters. The Bohemian countryside has a lot of different faces ranging from lowlands to wooded highlands and border mountains. Some of these features have played a special role in Czech cultural history and have become national symbols. One of them is Bohemian Paradise, originally spreading only in the broader surroundings of the town Trutnov. Bohemian Paradise was once covered by the prehistoric sea, whose bottom rose and cracked due to the movement of tectonic plates and volcanoes, forming today´s sandstone walls and towers.
