We visited with 4 kids ranging in age from 7-15. Everyone had a good time. We planned to stay an hour and ended up staying a few hours. We could have stayed longer, but got hungry. Haha. The exhibits are interactive and modern. There is s great view of the gorge, a 4D simulator ride, and 3 floors of interactive exhibits including informational quizzes, exercise bikes, hand gears, etc. walk through a smart house, learn about electricity, see what it was like to build the power authority and learn about the area. Free admission includes a smart badge that loads your pictures and points which you can access at home.

Viewing all the international Nativity scenes that were just spectacular and talking with Father Roy was such an entertaining evening. Plus walking around the Festival of Light s on the grounds was enjoyable. However, the fish fry they offer - well we never got served because after paying and waiting an hour and a half to be served we asked for our money back because we were told it would still be another half hour for our dinners! No one told us that and come to find out they only have a couple fryers and people cooking! Go for the lights but say out of the cafeteria!

Monument on the Lewiston Waterfront commemorating Underground Railroad Conductors Harriet “Moses” Tubman & local resident Josiah Tyran helping slaves escape across the river to freedom in Canada. Many Lewiston residents at the time helped people to freedom and our community is proud of their history of helping slaves escape. Those who assisted runaway slaves risked jail and having all their property & possessions confiscated if they were discovered. This is a great opportunity to teach young children about how regular citizens stepped forth to help their fellow man. A great spot for a photo at a historic spot. This place along the waterfront is scenic and beautiful with a nice view of Canada. Spend a few moments to admire the scenery and the bravery of those who came before us. Take a photo to remind yourself freedom is not free, it has been fought for and earned for us all.

Artpark, Western New York’s premier music and theater destination, sits atop 150 acres of picturesque land overlooking the Niagara River Gorge. Located in Historic Lewiston, the State Park features a 2,400-seat Mainstage Theater and seating lawn, Outdoor Amphitheater, steel sculptures, picnic areas, hiking trails, historical markers, fishing docks and children’s activities!
Most people know Artpark for their Tuesday and Wednesday outdoor summer concerts which are wonderful, a ton of fun and provide a great view while listening to the music. Artpark has so much more to offer though with really nice hiking trails along the Niagara River Gorge with access to fishing spots and spectacular views. Artpark was built on the left over earth removed to build the Power Plant a few miles south creating an area with different levels and plenty of space. There's a brick walkway from the top tier to the bottom or you can use the wide concrete steps. Heading into Artpark at the upper level you pass a dog park and a nature preserve with walking paths at the top of the ridge leading to parking lots for the venue. The remains of the Art-El (a wooden structure that used to cascade from the top to the lower level) create a platform for wheelchair seating for the outside amphitheater concerts. During the concerts vendors are set up with food and drink available. There are reserved seats, lawn seats and VIP seating. There's also lower level parking areas, one is a painted parking lot (very cool) a reproduction of an art installation done in the 1970's. Art installations are ever changing and pop up all around the Artpark campus...in the woods (an area for storytelling and hiking) the lower level has picnic shelters, percussion interactive art, pods with connected wooden walkways, art murals, the gallery and entrance to the main amphitheater. There are many places to hear music during the summer from the outdoor amphitheater to the woods...always something going on. Children's theater classes take place in the park and Artpark has a fairy festival every year. Hiking, art activities, theater, music concerts...so much to do in an amazing setting. A beautiful place to spend the day.

Love the Lewiston area and also Niagara-On-The-Lake in Canada. There should be a ferry between both places but this is the next best thing for tourists who want to see the quaint and not yet over-populated village on the mighty niagara..Niagara County's best kept secret. Shhhhhhh! Lewiston!
