What a hidden gem , loved the quaint little streets and the lovely shops we found a traditional fish bar which sold cockles, mussels, whelks, prawns and jellied eels , we had a half pint of cockles with vinegar and pepper and sat and ate them at a table facing the sea lovely!

A lovely place to walk, ride a bike, see nature especially squirrels all safely. Even a small adventure playground. We always have a great time

Free museum (leave a contribution on leaving) which gives you a good idea how people used to live in the good old days. Certainly worth a visit if you're in the area.

When the sun is shining and you pop your earphones in and take a walk along Belton hill up top, it’s not overly long but the views and nature are breath taking, along with some furry friends popping out along the way. Benches are placed along your walk so you can sit and take it all in whilst catching some rays. We do have some beautiful views in Leigh the estuary and old Leigh with all the boats are just so worth just sitting and taking it all in.

Leigh Library is a community hub in the heart of Leigh-on-Sea, in a beautiful listed building. Whether you wish to loan books, DVDs, or CDs - or simply find a quiet nook to read in, Leigh Library will provide you a warm welcome. Behind the Library are Leigh Library Gardens, a peaceful haven of green - which even has a secret slide!

Love Leigh library gardens, it’s one of those few charming places that are still around. Very tranquil and still has that old time period factor, attChilling relaxing, just sitting in there is glorious. Took my niece, when the weather was warm, we grabbed a sandwich, a cake and a drink from the homemade bakery opposite, just sat there and took in all the surroundings attached is the elegant Leigh library building which stands looking magnificent. We Looked at the plants and wildlife, watch the squirrels explore, then had a little explore ourselves, attached is a little park with swing etc, placed a rock for others to find and all whilst taking in the glorious sea view, it’s just a beautiful place to visit.
