Icicle Ridge Trail

Reviewed By aradvany - Bellingham, United States

We were there on April 7th we got lucky and had a sunny day. This trail seems to open up early, virtually all the snow had melted. Water was flowing and the view at the top was spectacular. The climb itself is scenic, wide open, lots of switchbacks not a whole lot in the way of forest cover. The view from the top is spectacular. My only gripe would be road noise could not be escaped. I can't imagine how hot this trail must get in the summer.

Penstock Trail (Old Pipeline Trail)

Reviewed By aradvany - Bellingham, United States

The trail starts by crossing the river on the old pipeline bridge. It's April, there's still a goodly amount of water on the bridge so it was a little bit difficult to pass stacked with logs and rocks to walk over. After that it was easy going. It's very level probably once the water dries this is pretty much handicapped accessible. It's a level easy hike out and back. I didn't really see any creepy cave/tunnel. Lots of places to go down by the river. Again as with the icicle trail my gripe is road noise can't get away from it because it parallels the highway which is tracking the river.

Enchantment Park

We loved that the park had room for sporting events, BMX style bike track, skate board area and walking trails. Everyone looked like they were having a great time. Parking was pretty good. Our only concerned was the lack of social distancing or facial covering, but that is no fault of the park.

Challenging up hill climb to Lake Colchuk is a highlight. Not for beginners. Read on-line details for specifics (such as All Trails).
