Boasting Tudor revival architecture, a Bavarian Village style shopping area, an annual Bavarian Christmas celebration and one of the largest Oktoberfest celebrations outside of Munich, Leavenworth offers up a little slice of Germany in the center of its spectacular Pacific Northwest landscape. The town boasts many tours, wine tasting rooms and even a museum of nutcrackers from the ancient to the quirky. Nearby Alpine Lakes Wilderness offers adventures in biking, hiking, skiing and more.

What a delight this shop is, we all loved it an bought several oils, vinegars, and salts. They have such a great selection and the flavors are amazing. You can sample everything they have which is both a good and bad thing because you will love it and you will end up buying so much more than you plan but it is so worth it. They also have samples of mixes that they create using their oils, vinegar, and salts that if you like them they list exactly what they used to create the flavors which you can then buy and create yourself as well. Truly, one of our favorite shops that we visited. Who knew, we thought it would be the wine tasting and buying that we would do the most of and to our delight it was the oil and vinegar shop that won our hearts. Definitely will stop there again any time we are in the area. We were there on a family trip and even my young grandson enjoyed the sampling at this place. I would say though that this is more of an adult activity in my opinion however, my grandson really enjoyed it but then we only had the one young one with 3 adults. We all had a great time though I wouldn't necessarily say this is an activity if you have a lot of young children with you.

We were there on April 7th we got lucky and had a sunny day. This trail seems to open up early, virtually all the snow had melted. Water was flowing and the view at the top was spectacular. The climb itself is scenic, wide open, lots of switchbacks not a whole lot in the way of forest cover. The view from the top is spectacular. My only gripe would be road noise could not be escaped. I can't imagine how hot this trail must get in the summer.

This pretty park, full of walking paths and viewing areas, is just a short walk away from downtown Leavenworth.
Nice walk by the river, easy for kids. Has a play ground for younger kids. Nice place to cool down or just get away from crowds. Early mornings are best.

Everything we tried was yummy: a creamy garlic gouda, caramelized onion cheese, flagsheep, sheep's milk cheese from France, goat's milk cheese from Humboldt County . . . but the cheese they're known for is the applewood smoked cheddar. The best! They sell more than cheese: pretzel mix, jarred treats, etc. They are more than happy to let you sample any cheese.

We are a boutique family winery handcrafting wines from both Washington grapes. From a bold Washington Syrah to sweeter style wines like our Berry Sangria and Warm Spiced Red Wine (German Gluhwien). We invite you to stop by our tasting room in Leavenworth and sample a taste of WooHoo
My friend and I went to Woo Hoo Winery because we loved the name. We found a great server there, good conversation and FANTASTIC wine cups by Heifermade by Delania. I wish I had bought more for the girls in my family, because I couldn't find them online. The hot mulled wine was delicious and all the other selections were great as well. The tasting fee is waived when you buy wine, so a great deal.

While experiencing downtown Leavenworth, Washington and the outdoor playground of our beautiful mountain valley, visit our tasting room to enjoy Icicle Brewing Company's refreshing brews. Our tasting room overlooks our craft brewery where our Head Brewer, Dean Priebe has masterfully combined the pristine waters of the Icicle River with only the freshest ingredients to craft fresh and flavorful ales and lagers for your enjoyment. Cheers! All ages welcome until 10pm!
We stopped at the Icicle Brewing Company which walking around Leavenworth. The brewery is nice and open to the outside and is perfect for the adults to grab a quick drink and get a quick snack-appetizer for everyone (5 kids in tow). Very helpful staff and very open brewing area as well (able to view into the brewing area from the steps leading to the bathrooms and upstairs). I tried 4 - 4oz samples and they were all great (Pilsner to IPA). I definitely recommend a stop into Icicle brewing (named after the creek that runs through town).
