Friends and family made a trip to texas and with a bunch of teen boys figured this would be perfect. We enjoyed the boat trip after having a hard time figuring out where to go to get on the boat. Loved the scenery and the beautiful clear water. The obstacles are way harder than they look! Lol. We all had a great time. And many many many great laughs. Loved that we could have a drink while watching the kids play and get exhausted. As did we. We also loved not having little little kids around to have to watch and hear. We will remember the fun, bruises, and laughter for a long long time!

Built on the side of a mountain, this 18-hole, par 72 golf course features sloping fairways and lots of brush with a few blind par 3's.
We knew it was going to be another cool day in Hill Country but at 65 degrees it proved to be a perfect time and temp to try this course. Wide scenic fairways (for the most part), raised green boxes and beautiful scenery abounds! Deer, squirrels and wildlife play along the way. There's been a lot of rain recently but in the Spring this course must be absolutely gorgeous! Staff was friendly and helpful. Loved the GPS and helpful play hints on the carts and loved being able to take advantage of their published 'special' rates...we were able to play for $27 pp including cart! Fun, fun day of play and unforgettable course. Do take advantage of this beautiful place! Enjoy!

The Cedar Rock Railroad is part of a full train-themed amusement play space in the SW Williamson County Park. The railroad is a 1/4-scale train that takes passengers of all ages on a 15-minute, 1.3 Mile ride through the natural areas of the park. The Shady Oak Junction (where the train departs) has a train playscape, a kid-powered crank car ride for kids 3+, reservable picnic tables, a depot selling snacks and cold drinks, and, coming soon, a train-themed miniature golf course too!

I visited the Williamson County Regional Park while traveling around the county roads one day. It is a great park with baseball, football/soccer fields, hiking trails, a splash pad and a little train depot for the kiddos. When our kids were in their teen years we would come up here for lacrosse tournaments. The train rides look fun for small families. All in all it is a great park for many uses.

Volente Beach is one of the coolest properties in Texas. A lakefront boutique waterpark with multiple slides and pools, full beach with waterfront swim area, courtesy boat dock, sand volleyball and more. Beachside Billys serves some of the best Burgers, Wings, Pizza and Entrees in Central Texas.
Went on a recent weekday with my 5 year old, 2 year old, and 4 year old nephew... My 5 year old had an outright blast (as he was above the 42 inches minimum for most of the slides and can swim on his own)... He went up and down, over and over again, with little to no wait... he used the pools, the little over-water rope course and even enjoyed the toddler pirate ship area... If your kid is above the 42 inches but can't swim (or he was wants to go down with you for speed) they'll let you down some of the slides together - which is great... The giant white slide is two-person only and very cool. Our 2 year old had plenty of fun in the pirate ship pool for a long time... My 4 year old nephew wasn't so thrilled because, despite being over 42 inches, he's not an independent swimmer so he couldn't go down the slides on his own and was not interested in do any tandem runs... so he stuck to the toddler area which, for him, got old sooner than later. For $20, little to no no waits, a handful of slides, a few pools, a beach, some games, and plenty of picnic areas for you to bring your own food it was hard to beat. The restaurant was also surprisingly good too and resonantly priced. This was a simple fun day for the family in every way.

One of the best and safest ranges in Austin. Where else can you pay one fee and shoot all day? Be warned: if you are an unsafe, know-it-all or you simply don't like paying attention to rules that greatly reduce firearm accidents then do all of us a favor and don't go here. The ROs will absolutely call you out if they catch you doing things you shouldn't be. They care about providing a safe shooting environment and could care less about your ego. Those of us that have been long-time patrons of this range like it that way.
