Bourbon distillery
Servicemen, servicewomen and vets--bring your ID or proof of service and take a terrific tour of a beautiful and historic distillery for free. Learn how bourbon is made, inhale the "angel's share" and learn how to taste whiskey. Thank you Woodford Reserve for honoring those who have served and are serving our country.

Despite not being able to see everything because of construction, the tour was fun and informative. Tobie was a blast! She clearly knew her stuff and presented it in an enjoyable way. The $5 charge is more than reasonable considering you get the tour, a tasting of 3 different bourbons and get to keep the glass-it's real glass! Very nice and highly recommended!

Nice place to view bison, deer, fawn, bear, bobcats, bald eagle and elk. You can spend a good afternoon viewing the open cages. There is a lake for fishing. A good place for family picnics and an education center on nature.

On a stormy spring weekend, we visited the Wild Turkey distillery. The building is very nice. Our tour guide was very informative and friendly. We tasted four different varieties including Kentucky spirit, 101 rye whiskey, American honey sting which was my favorite. After the tour, talking about our tastings, she gave us more suggestions about other varieties which they sell in their store. Like the caramel bourbon scented candles in the store.

What great little distillery operation. I actually caught them just before heading to Maccas for lunch. Glad I did and glad I added them onto my itinerary when visiting from Australia.
Great selection and great information.
I would say this is a must visit if in Kentucky.
