I found the trek up comparatively easy to others I had done. Until I was passed buy a guy literally skipping through the stream. I later stayed at his guest house, total coincidence but it was lovely. Hotel evening view. Smaller hotel, but gave me real interactions with the local people. But also a shower imported from Europe and it’s honestly one of the best showers I ever had !! The weather was flawless when I was there. I went up the surrounding peaks, ate cake, and spent one day sat outside my room in the beautiful sunshine eating yak cheese. I’d recommend the trek hightoy, and would probably spend longer here than I did. I had friends who explored much further. And I’m not entirely sure why I didn’t (cake and yak cheese ????????), but even though it’s a long way, I’ll probably return one day as my heart never felt so at peace.

This was my 5th trek but the 1st one to this region. This region is unique and most interesting one. The greenery, wildlife, clean rivers, hills and snow capped mountains, friendly local people and the most, is the path, I will never forget in my life. The Tibetan culture and their local food are other factors that attract me to this place again. All those views of panoramic mountains and landscape are awesome. The sound of Langtang river guide us until our last stop Kyanjin Ghompa.

We have made a 9 days trek combining Tamang and Langtang trail. We contacted directly our guide named Temba Tamang (owner of Me Very Happy Guesthouse) and arranged everything via email. It was a great experience with wonderful people. Booking directly with local people avoids that most of your money goes to agencies, everything we spent went directly to local people who definitely need it after the earthquake. Temba is a beautiful person who will share everything with you. Don't hesitate!

I was able to go and see the waterfall below the lake which flows into timure and the sight is magnificient. the water is chilly and great for a bath. Stayed closeby for 3 days and was able to enjoy different sights of the lake melting and forming waterfall below.
Langtang valley is a region in the Himalayas of Nepal to the north of the Kathmandu Valley and bordering Tibet.
