Millstone is the perfect place to buy a hand-crafted one-of-a-kind gift for a friend or for yourself. They have everything from paintings, prints and photographs, to woodworks, knives, jewelry, pottery and leather goods. The owner is so knowledgeable about each artist's work and helped me find a handsome hand-turned wooden pen as a gift for a friend for under $40.

As we were touring through South Carolina, our friends recommended that we visit the town of Landrum. Always up for a good Antique Shop, we decided to make the detour and check out Landrum. This is a quaint town with some very nice stores, eateries and Furniture Shops. We started our tour by visiting Foothills Amish Furniture. There are multiple buildings to visit stocked to the ceiling with quality made furniture. If you do not see the piece that you are interested in, they will custom build your specific piece of furniture. After purchasing a few items from Foothills, we moved onto lunch across the street at the Hound and Hare restaurant. This was an excellent choice with tasty Pub Food. Even though it was lunchtime, the staff moved us in quickly. The food was wonderful and delivered to our table quickly. After lunch, we strolled through all the Antique stores. We purchased a few more items and moved in to have an Ice Cream treat at the Ice Cream Bar nestled in between the Antique Shops. This was a great ending to a nice afternoon.
