It was a perfect day to visit the park. Late January and 64 degrees. The park was not crowded and almost had the place to my own. Walked the wonderful lake and watched just 1 duck in the water. Walked the nature trail too. Enjoyed the attractions. Props to Laura in he museum/office. She was brilliant and so helpful with answering my questions about Indian tribes , Charleston, other SC parks and of course Andrew Jackson.
What a wonderful place!

My first visit and wasn't sure what to expect. The park is clean and well maintained with plenty of picnic tables and some benches along the trail to see the lilies. The weather was a little warm so I advise to bring some water for your hike. Not very crowded on a Tuesday.
The Catawba River is huge and peaceful to watch. We saw Blue Heron and turtles resting on the river rocks. The lilies are a good distance from the viewing area so bring binoculars if possible. We watched some that had a canoe and I'm sure they were able to capture some amazing photographs. Thanks for keeping our South Carolina parks clean.

Artist Studio/Gallery/Sculpture Garden owned and operated by nationally acclaimed and highly awarded Bob Doster, sculptor. Art exhibits, outdoor private garden, studio tours. Location offers metal sculpting workshops and special events throughout the year. Also available for rent for special events such as weddings, receptions, corporate functions, rehearsal dinners. Located in the heart of the Cultural Arts District of historic downtown, parking is plentiful. Row of buildings are former pool halls and cafes and an indoor wall features two murals dating to the early 1940's. Very laid back and fun to visit as the artist enjoys having visitors anytime.
Doster's studio is a breath of fresh air for this little town. Bob and Cherry Doster are the heart and soul of the art community in Lancaster. they give aspiring artists encouragement and help expose them to the public. the Backstreet Studio is a great place for events and classes.

small roadside stop that is loaded with history- excellent kiosk markers describe th battle that took place here. monuments and a mass grave remind one of the horrors that occurred in this battle. well maintained, history fans will enjoy this historic site. picnic tables are there as well- small, yes- but powerful in remembrance of the lives lost here. worth a visit if in the area.

Great locally owned bottle shop with a fantastic selection of craft brews. For those who do not enjoy craft beer, root beer is available on tap and they also serve wine. No food is served here, but local restaurants deliver or you can take your own. Dogs are welcome! The building is on the National Register of Historic Places and in the middle of the Cultural Arts District. A laid-back, friendly place with friendly owners.

Established in August of 2012, this comprehensive center for the study of South Carolina's Native American peoples, their histories, and their cultures.
This is dedicated to the Catawba native americans. They have the most outstanding collection of Catawbay in America. They have a lot of other stuff also. It is a stop worth making.

A most interesting place to visit - a craft brewery on a farm! The brew is legendary and the cows patiently grazing and waiting to much spent hops are an added attraction! This is a top-notch operation that is an asset to Lancaster County and South Carolina. The whole family will enjoy a day down on the farm!

Wonderful collection of 1940 textile ad's art works on display. House is now home of the Lancaster Council of Arts.
House was in the process of seasonal change over at the time of our visit. We plan to re-visit in a couple of weeks to see the Christmas decorations.
