I visit the Fairfield Nature Reserve often, and it's a place I always take visitors to the city. It's a lovely green space, suitable for all. There's various paths to take, benches to sit on, exploring to be had, and my kids love the nearby playpark, plopping little stones into Lucy Brook, and playing in the Orchard.

Come and discover some very special wildlife at RSPB Leighton Moss. This popular nature reserve is home to a variety of wonderful creatures - from birds and bugs to bats and otters. If you are lucky, you may even spot our largest residents, the red deer. There's plenty to do at Leighton Moss - explore nature trails, take a stroll around our sensory garden, treat yourself in our gift shop and enjoy a home-made meal in our award-winning cafe.
A beautiful peaceful place with varied species ranging unusual waders, Bullfinch, Bearded Tits and of course many Marsh Harriers. I iove the causeway hide

Came here In-between lockdowns and it was a great place to get away from it all. Plenty of butterflies, birds and lizards to see along with some breathtaking views from the top. There are two ways up, one is pretty vertical up the cliff face the other is more gently but still requires a good pair of boots.

Pleasant walk, grandchildren loved the park area. Nice walk into Heysham village. Ideal for nature lovers, good views.
