Chorley Theatre is a volunteer-run independent venue staging plays, musicals, pantos, touring comedy, music and films.Built in 1910, it has been owned and operated by amdram group CADOS since 1960 and produces at least 6 full shows per year, plus 2 by Chorley Youth Theatre. It's an ideal venue for comedy shows by top stand-up comedians, and the regular film showings are digitally projected on to the big screen, with Surround Sound. There's a great-priced bar and the building has full disabled access. Any profits go back into the upkeep of the building, and all income comes from ticket and bar sales.
Always a good show - apart from Pantomines which I always choose to miss - my choice not Chorley Little Theatre's fault. I believe they are much appreciated by those who enjoy this genre. Easy to book through Malcolm's Musicland. Parking close by and excellent. Drinks and snacks very good value - don't bring your own support the theatre.

We visited the Emmott Arms on our third wedding anniversary after quite a few people recommended it to us. The staff were great. The were welcoming and friendly. The bar was well stock with some well kept real ales. We tried the Nayors Blonde and it was very good. The menu was just the right size with a few specials on offer. Our meal was fantastic. I had belly pork and it was some of the best I've had and my wife had pie which was fantastic. We will definitely be back again and will recommend to others.

A friendly and welcoming ale house and gin palace in the heart of Rossendale. Locally sourced ales, quality spirits and other beverages. Opened December 2017, substantially extended in August 2019, and now offering 6 cask, 8 craft keg and over 40 gins.
The only thing to say about Casked is it's great. Mike & Amanda are brilliant hosts, doing a great job under the present post lockdown rules. All their staff are excellent and the selection of beers and spirits is second to none. Rawtenstall is now a destination town and Casked is its flagship.

The Brew Room is a fantastic, comfy pub north of Blackpool city centre. They make their own beers on the premises [5 hand-pumped ales available], and there's also a decent selection of guest ales. All beers are modestly priced, and kept fresh. It's a family-friendly place, kids are allowed until 8 p.m. The décor is fairly stylish and very comfortable, with a number of designated sections to sit and relax. Home-made smoked sausages [Excellent, and only 4.5 UKP] and oven-baked, freshly made pizzas are available at all times. On Monday nights they have a pub quiz, which can be very lively [I "ran" into one]. The staff are friendly and competent [in sharp contrast to the nearby The Hop!], food was served quickly. I actually visited the pub *twice* that same day - as Blackpool doesn't offer very many options for real ale lovers. Highly recommended for this town, it's only a short walk from The Blackpool Tower and The North Pier.
