Northern Latitudes Distillery

Come in to the distillery and check out all of our fantastic NLD spirits, including our newest The Narrows Barrel Aged Gin and Bernie's Brandy! We strictly follow CDC safety guidelines. We wear our masks and all customers do too except when doing a FREE tasting of our spirits. Our tasting room is open, at a smaller capacity. With the new law we are having fun with our cocktails-to-go. We do have our outdoor seating area open and our fabulous cocktails are to-go. Our indoor bar seating area is not open yet due to Covid-19 but we look forward to opening it in the near future! Stop in and check out our chamber gift shop where we have all of our spirits in stock and you can shop our barware, fun signs, great cocktail napkins, and NLD clothing! We look forward to sharing the NLD experience with you!

Everything we had here was delicious! Head to their website, too, for some amazing cocktail recipes. They do an amazing job with the physical distancing and points of touch contact in the shop, too. Will return every time that we are in the area!

This was a great place to end our trip. Saving one of the best for last. The whites were tasty but we walked away with a bottle of each of the reds. The tasting price is a little more expensive then most but it's a generous pour that comes on a cute wine tree. (The power tower) Indoor and outdoor seating with some yummy snacks to purchase in this gorgeous setting and fun atmosphere.

Blustone Vineyards

We got a reservation for an outside table near the end of the day. Barb was informative, attentive and welcoming. The wines we tasted were delicious and refreshing but our favorites were the chardonnay and the Blu sparkling. The vineyards made a beautiful backdrop for a relaxing afternoon. I look forward to coming back!!

We did our tasting with Andrew. He was knowledgeable about the wines as well as attentive. The winery is cute inside and has a beautiful copper top tasting bar. The dry riesling was a highlight as well as the bubble cerise.

Visited Good Harbor on a cold Monday and were able to do a wine tasting inside without a reservation. $8 for 5 samples. Denise was very fun to talk with and even gave us a card for a free tasting at Aurora Cellars, so that is where we went next.

My boyfriend and I stopped by this beautiful and friendly vineyard after we visited Fishtown nearby. Carol, our host was the hostess with the mostest. She made sure we were well taken care during our visit. We were the only patrons on a Tuesday afternoon and we sat on the patio (with heaters) looking at a soothing river (we think it's part of Lake Leelan). We visited a few wineries in the area and we have to admit their white wines were the best, particularly their bubbles, Riesling, Pinot Gris, and Ciders. Their pricing for these wines was more than reasonable compared to other wineries we've visited. We have been pretty spoiled by Californian wines for many years and had the opportunity to visit France and Italy's wine regions, this vineyard is a must visit if you are in Michigan.
