Major sights include the towns of Sirmione (which attracts most Lake Garda visitors thanks to its historic Rocca Scaligiera castle) and Riva del Garda (for the Varone waterfalls located nearby), as well as the region’s hills, which offer numerous hiking trails for adventurous walkers.

The lemon garden (“Limonaia”) La Malora is located in Gargnano, on the western coast of Lake Garda. It is an old structure dating back to the sixteenth century and is used for the cultivation of lemons. It is unique in its kind: unlike the surrounding lemon gardens, now mostly abandoned or re-developed as homes, La Malora is still a productive limonaia, perfectly preserved and available for visits. This is thanks to the commitment and passion of the owner Giuseppe Gandossi and his son Fabio.
What a unique place run by a passionate family. We had a great time here and went home with some quality Limoncello and Capers.

Here the “classic DOC wines of Garda Region”are produced: Chiaretto, Groppello, Rosso Superiore, Garda Riesling, Garda Marzemino, Valtenesi Chiaretto and Rosso, a IGT Benàco Bresciano passito wine. The farm produces also extra-virgin olive-oil crushing the olives of its own groves. From the wine press residues three types of grappa are produced: a young grappa of Groppello, a young grappa of Riesling, an aged grappa of Marzemino. The cellar, with its air of familiarity, makes the wine-tasting a pleasant escape from the frantic rhythm of modern life. Upon booking you can organize tastings of farm products (wines and oil), accompanied with a selection of meats and cheeses typical of the area.
