Longest established art museum in California.
We are lucky enough to have friends who are members and one invited us to a Saturday night reception for the opening of their two latest exhibitions. It was members only from 5PM to 6PM and the catering was delicious. West Coast Events Production did a great job with their food to coincide with the Mexican Art. Chicken Mole, rice, Shrimp Casa Dias, to mention a few. One exhibit contains works by Artemio Sepulveda a Laguna Beach resident at one time now returned to his native Mexico. The other exhibit is Travels in Mexico, with works from the collection of E. Gene and Diane Crain. Their collection includes works from notable artists, Millard Sheets, Rex Brandt, Emil Kota, Jr., Phil Paradise, Dong Kingman, and Milford Zorrnes. Many from the 1930’s and 1040’s, extraordinary in there simplicity and beauty.
