What a surprise! We were staying in Pine Mountain with a morning to spare and decided to take a ride. We were blown away. If you enjoy restorations or beautiful gardens, this is definitely a place to visit. We had, what amounted to, a private tour of the magnificent home and our guide, Joanne, made the place come alive. We were amazed at the breath and depth of her knowledge about the estate and the family. In fact, all the staff, from the tram driver to the gardeners were terrific and welcoming. Also, LaGrange is a charming little town with many great places to lunch.

Our trip to the Bible History Center surpassed our expectations. If you live in or around Atlanta, it is a perfect day trip. Or stay in Callaway Gardens and go from there. Our guide made the Bible come alive and the stories were interesting and filled with biblical history. The meal is not to be missed. Not only is it informative, but also delicious in every way. I highly recommend this Georgia experience.

Visited Lagrange for our anniversary trip to Great Wolf Lodge and bought the brewery tour as a filler and it ended up being the best part of our trip. Nolan gave us the tour, he was funny, informative, and made sure our glasses were never empty.

Great Wolf Lodge

Our family (including our 9 year old) visited The Great Wolf Lodge in LaGrange, Georgia, about an hour away from Atlanta. What an incredible experience it was! We were greeted kindly and met with smiles at every corner. Our room was nice and cozy. The thermostat was co trolled with ease. The facilities, both the fun places, the elevators, the room, and the hallways, were pristinely clean. My daughter loved the place! The indoor fun- there is a mini golf course, a mini bowling alley, a rock climbing wall, a ropes course, a big arcade, build a bear-type of place with a play room, a play area for little ones, and a magic quest game throughout the place requiring the children to point their wands at to activate. There is a Dunkin’ Donuts, a Ben and Jerry’s, a taco stand, a burger joint, an amazing breakfast place, coffee and snacks joint, a pizza place, and a steak place. It’s all very good. Breakfast was the best meal by far. Lots of quality food to choose from. The water park- it’s small in a way, but a lot of fun. There’s a small lazy river, a large water slide with 4 tubes to chose from, a small wave pool, a splash pad, a water ropes course, and a water basketball area. The outdoor pool is also nice and the hot tub outside was amazing. Bottom line- we were treated my like royalty and our kiddo had a magical time. Can’t wait to come back.
