We have just returned from a weekend stay at Snoozums at No.11 & it was wonderful. Jacqui & Dave were superb hosts, very welcoming, friendly & helpful & the additional touches such as the handmade bath products & soaps waiting for us were a lovely treat. The accommodation was perfect, very comfortable bed, roll top bath & a delightful sitting room. The local fresh bread & breakfast basket provided was also a charming addition. Lacock village is one of my favourite places & is like stepping back in time, this was my 3rd visit to the village but first stay at Snoozums but, I’m sure it will not be my last, I would definitely stay at a Snoozums when returning to Lacock & can highly recommend.

Very interesting exhibition on the history of photography and although some of the actual processes went a little over my head I still thoroughly enjoyed it. Upstairs there is currently a gallery with an artists impressions of some of the themes in Alice Through the Looking Glass, quite eerie but very clever, well worth a look although I'm not sure how long it is on for. The Abbey was closed when we went but we had a look around the cloisters (some parts of Harry Potter were filmed there) really interesting reading some of the notices placed around about the history. The town of Lacock itself is something well worth exploring, lots of little shops tucked away here and there selling local crafts and food. The bakery had some amazing looking pasties and cakes. We'll be going back again to see the Abbey sometime, very interesting history to it all. There is also a large picnic area and playing field for children.

Country house with monastic roots, once home to William Henry Fox Talbot The Abbey, located at the heart of the village within its own woodland grounds, is a quirky country house of various architectural styles, built upon the foundations of a former nunnery. Visitors can experience the atmosphere of the medieval rooms and cloister court, giving a sense of the Abbey's monastic past. The museum celebrates the achievements of former Lacock resident, William Henry Fox Talbot, famous for his contributions to the invention of photography.
Fantastic place to visit at any time of the year Beautiful Village with lots off things to buy from the gardens money is put through there letter box if you want to buy.

Coco Chemistry is an award winning artisan chocolatiers found in the heart of Wiltshire, England. It is owned by two chocolate loving ex-chemists who enjoy nothing more than sharing their enthusiasm for outstanding chocolates with others. Trained by world master chocolatiers these experimental scientists with inquisitive minds push the boundaries, fusing traditional methods with novel flavour pairing techniques to produce unique textures, tastes, flavours and designs.
Popped in on a cold December day looking for Christmas pressies and found a lovely warm shop with a huge range of different chocolates. It was so difficult to choose what to get as everything looked so tasty, but the friendly lady behind the counter gave us some pointers, and even a taste so that we could decide. They also do hot drinks to takeaway, although we never tried one in the end. While we were there the owner came in and we all found ourselves talking about the local area, where to visit, where to eat etc. We had a lovely friendly chat, I can't remember the last time I was able to chat to someone in a shop without feeling rushed out. I 100% recommend that everyone going through Lacock stops and has a look in that shop, I doubt they'll be able to walk out without buying something yummy!

We are a takeaway, bake on the premises, bakery. We make real bread without any additives or preservatives. The National Trust specify that we may only use one table for customers to consume food which means they must either sit together at that table or buy takeaway food. We would like to offer more but 'rules are rules' and I hope that visitors will understand when we present them with a takeaway cup! To all our lovely customers, please keep visiting!

This magnificent piece of architecture is one of those things that you have to see to believe... The caepentry and engineering within the ceiling is unbelievable, as is its history.... The barn is just another jewel within the whole town of Lacock... A must see for anyone who likes Medieval or Historical locations.
