Haven’t been here in our 30 years! I remember the wonderful Christmas Midnight masses. The building itself is architecturally amazing inside and outside. Truly a national treasure. We arrived after the museum and gift shop downstairs closed at 4pm. Be respectful when you enter.

My husband and I have a goal of swimming in every great lake. We grew up on the shores of Lake Superior. We both needed to still do Lake Erie, so on our honeymoon in New York, we decided to find a beach and do it.
The beach we chose was Woodlawn Beach State Park. It's a beautiful beach. Huge an sandy with a bouncy playground, a regular playground, and a volleyball net. The trail to get there goes through a little bit of woods and has information along the way. It really is a nice place. The only thing that wasn't so nice were the bathrooms, but after years of use at a sandy beach, I didn't really expect much else.. There are also lifeguards and lifeguard stations at this beach, which is a benefit. There is a gift shop and a snack shop at this location also. It cost us $7 to get in.
That "smell" that people are talking about is lake smell. I grew up with it my entire life. I didn't smell anything that was unusual to a lake.

Home field of the Buffalo Bills
If you can say one thing about Buffaloians it is that they love the Bills! What a great experience being in the stadium when the Bills are playing...better when they are winning! It is an open air stadium which baffles me since this is Buffalo after all. SO you are exposed to the elements but the enthusiasm of the crowds helps. There have been some nice upgrades so all in all a good experience.

As one of the first rural cemeteries in the United States, Forest Lawn – located in Buffalo, NY – is at the heart of Western New York’s cultural tourism renaissance. Its first interment took place in 1849; today there are more than 161,000 permanent residents in this 269-acre, non-denominational, non-sectarian, not-for-profit cemetery. Forest Lawn offers year-round guided tours on various themes and subjects, educational programming, special veteran programming and so much more. Forest Lawn is the only local full-service cemetery for traditional and cremation arrangements listed on the State and National Registries of Historic Places.
One of the neatest 'living' history locations in Buffalo! The tours are wonderful.... architectural, historical, social history...it has it all! Their Holiday play, It was a Wonderful Life, was great.

Have been here multiple times for multiple plays and this place never disappoints.
Would recommend getting seating above row E (on main floor) that way you get sight of the entire stage, and naturally stay away from the far sides (like every theatre).
Great acoustics inside and. Concessions very reasonably priced (6-8$ beer/wine) (4-6 snacks).
If you love theatre and can afford to do so, it is always great to experience the same play from multiple seating locations - always a different and amazing experience.

We went for a tour and it was really cool! The Little Rock ship is massive and the story about the sullivans is cool! You need to check it out!

Since my daughter and I are "rock hounds," Past and Present is one of our favorite stores. We could browse the shelves and drawers for hours and we always find something to add to our collections. It might be a mineral, a book, a toy, a loupe....I could go on forever. To top it off, they have a free fossil gallery. There is so much to see that we keep going back and see something new (to us, that is) every time.

Theodore Roosevelt was inaugurated as President of the United States in 1901 in Buffalo, NY, after the assassination of President William McKinley. Exhibits focus on the assassination and inauguration, details of Roosevelt's life and consequential issues of the day no less important to citizens more than a century later. Visitors can also tour nearby historic neighborhoods.
If you are a fan of Theodore Roosevelt you will really appreciate this museum. The Wilcox House contains a rich collection of President Roosevelt's memorabilia - including a display of his inauguration which took place in the upstairs library and also contains artifacts pertaining to the assassination of President William McInley. The mansion is very well cared for and really conveys a sense of a bygone era.

This unique museum focuses on Buffalo's transportation history featuring Pierce Arrow, Thomas Flyer, electric vehicles, vintage bicycles, motorcycles, muscle cars and trucks, many made in Western New York. A special feature is the full scale Buffalo Filling Station by Frank Lloyd Wright, designed for Buffalo in 1927 but never built. Rights to build it were secured and the impressive structure with expansive copper roof and detailing is housed in the atrium of the museum. Guided tours can be arranged by appointment @ $25 per person with a minimum of 30 people required.
This museum not only has old Pierce Arrow cars but all the associated memorabilia that goes along with the era of each car is on display. There are things like old bikes, gas pumps, and other memorabilia related to automobile manufacturing. There are other vintage articles in glass cases (clothes, shoes, household items, books, and toys). They have created a gas station that was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright inside the museum. It is incredible to see this gas station that has a copper roof that was hand done. It is also nice that period clothes are also displayed so that you have an idea of what people wore as they drove these magnificent machines, It is not expensive and a nice way to spend a few hours on an afternoon.
