Ventspils is famous for being family-friendly, and this park is a cool example. Interesting activities, a comfortable and large space, well-designed and maintained, it's just a serious effort to encourage active fun. I just wish my granddaughter lived nearby and could have a blast every day! Also, it's a short walk from other family-friendly attractions like an openair museum and the beach.

One of the longest waterfall in europe. In summer you can walk trought it by stones. Impressive view also some swimming place near waterfall.

To get into the area where the radio telescopes are make sure you book a tour a few days in advance, we booked via e-mail! A great plus was that the tour was only for our small group! The tour guide was great, he had good English and seemed enthusiastic about the topic which made it more interesting for us! Make sure you ask questions! The guide took us inside one of the old radio telescope's legs whith an exhibition on history and what they are using the telescope's for now, then we had a chance to actually go up to and walk on the parabolic disk, then we went into a tunnel that connected two telescopes and then we took pictures near the working telescope! After the tour was over we went to the derelict city in the forest where they housed the 2000 people (workers and their families) who worked at the site during the Soviet era!

Probably this is the best beach I have ever visited. Fantastic sand, a lot of entertainments fol children, really coolmplace for family!

Fantastic place for hiking, specious and beautiful park with old trees that leads to the dunes and white sand beach, where you may watch a spectacular sunset.

Planetarium projector gives the audience a chance to view unique and stunning star shows and films by using up-to-date software. It was a very Unique castle with different exciting parts. in one of the part i learned about the History of old Latvia and also i learned that Latvia had a colony in the far past History. nice old decorative objects are also there to know more about Latvian taste. and the private Museum of old clothes was worth to visit.
