Impressive aquarium and glad we put that in our itinerary . We went early to avoid the crowd , tourist buses started to come by around 10 am We also encountered a group of students on excursion so the place got crowded quickly . If you are not in a hurry (we are not) , just slowly stroll through the crowd and appreciate the different species of sea life on display. Fav window is of course the Whale Sharks & Giant Mantra Rays .. mesmerizing to see the giants swimming around We greatly enjoyed the place , time well spent P/S : If you intend to visit the Tropical Dream Center , keep the aquarium ticket . You get half price for the Tropical Dream Center entrance ticket

Went here with our dive guide after diving. What a treat! Maguro-don / Tuna sashimi bowl with soup and a draft beer for JPY1000. Find a picnic table in the courtyard and enjoy! (And for those who don’t want the sushi, there are probably 10 other food stands serving Okinawa donuts and a mountain of ice cream with chopped fruit, among others.)

We managed to locate the public area of the beach quite easily on our drive north towards Cape Hedo from Cape Manzamo. We simply parked at some parking lots along the road, walked up a few steps and there was the beautiful beach, free for all to enjoy but with few people in sight. There was no public toilet though. There were plenty of dead corals washed up on the sand. It is such a lovely beach that we ended up spending too much time there and missed going to Dai Sekirinzan Park which closes at 4pm.

Daisenkirinzan - a forested nature park with fantastic geological formations is a great place for children and adults to be free-spirited; allowing creativity to see what you want to see in the amazing rock formations. There are natural formations that look like a cat, a T-Rex, a gorilla, a crocodile; a place where you see what your eyes want you to see. The trails are clearly marked and easy to walk. There are thoughtful gestures like walking sticks/wooden staff and umbrellas provided by the park. The stone museum at the end of the walk is well curated and informative. The best part of this museum is that you can touch the exhibits.

The best snorkelling spot in Okinawa! Before you head to the cape, make sure to check the sea condition online. This was our 2nd time snorkelling here, the first time was a peak season, there were TOO many swimmers and the cave was so crowded, at the end, we gave up. This time, it was so empty and we were able to spend some time inside the cave, taking photos. It was so fun to snorkel, we brought breads to feed the fish and there were lots of colourful fish, felt like an aquarium!

Many many people trek to Motobu to visit Churaumi aquarium. I would like to invite them and stress the importance for them to spend a few hours in the Tropical Dream center. The facility changes throughout the year in the flowering exhibits specializing in Orchids and different exhibitions from Native species to many different tropical plants. Great exhibits of topiary that represent the zodiac symbols . You can have a light lunch in the facility and walk up the tower to reach a overview of the garden and park. The facility also host educational workshops for children and adults. Lots of photo spots.

Japan's southernmost forest adventure! Take advantage of the natural hills of Okinawa and enjoy the best experience at the best location overlooking the East China Sea! The "Zip slide" that attaches a pulley to the cable from a high place and slides down at a stretch is outstandingly refreshing! ! Not only "Zip Slide" but also "Tarzan Swing" where you dive towards the net like a pendulum and various activities with low to high difficulty! There is no doubt that you will be impressed with the sense of accomplishment after the adventure is over! It is a nature symbiosis type outdoor park where you can experience the sense of self-responsibility, "protect your own safety by yourself" and the elements of survival, and above all, "enjoy in the nature". An adventure facility that adults and children can enjoy! An experience only available here is waiting for you! ! [Charge] 3,800 yen per person Group (8 people or more) 3,500 yen You can pay only japanese yen cash.
Climbing some structures are challenging (isn’t that the point?), and the landings can be hard on your butt, although the wood chips soften the landing. The “Tarzan Jump” was unique, and is an added adventure after the zip lining course. Good safety explanations at the beginning by responsible, caring staff. Nice jungly atmosphere. Meeting point is on the bus route. Best to rent a car, if you can handle driving on the left side, and a RH steering column. Make reservations.
