A majestic, wooden structured hot spring "SAKURA-YU"has been recorded as "Resting facility" of the feudal lord of HOSOKAWA from about 380 years ago. The source water in Yamaga, which has been loved by many people as a public "ONSEN" after the Great Reconstruction(1870-1872) at the Meiji era,is rebuilt now as it once had been. The "KARA-HAFU" entrance in the north and south , and the unique crossed roof structure, and "Ryu-no-yu" used by royal customers, are all unique architectures from the Edo era that were reproduced as closely as possible at "SAKURA-YU". Please enjoy the breathtaking scale and charm.

OMOKEN PARK is a social design park located in Kamitori, the main shopping district in Kumamoto City. We will introduce the culture information to people in locally and globally through some events and projects. It is attracting attention from both inside and outside the country, as a landmark of modern architecture newly built in Kumamoto in 2019. There is a really tasty cafe on the premises.
