The largest game reserve in South Africa, Kruger National Park is basically a synonym for the word "safari." Home to over 500 bird species, 100 reptiles, nearly 150 mammals, multiple archaeological sites, and a stunningly diversity of trees and flowers, Kruger is the country’s flagship national park. Adventurers can explore the park in a 4x4, take a bush walk or fly above in a hot-air balloon.

This is a great pit stop in a central part of Kruger. The place is staffed by great friendly people and the choice of food from breakfast to main meals is good. The toilet facilities are very good when you consider where you are. The toilets along with the other buildings have been decorated in an interesting style using repurposed objects. In an area where facilities can often seem run down or lacking investment this is one place that bucks that trend. Somebody has taken time, trouble and effort to make things look good and it shows! We are looking forward to our next pit stop, an excellent coffee and a rest in the comfy wicker chairs on the porch.
