Karin is a wonderful guide; she is very kind and has a great sense of humor. She explained many things about Austrian culture throughout the day and during the hike she pointed out many different plants which helped us really feel connected to the environment. The hike was a bit tough for me at times, but I think the difficulty was consistent with the description of the activity and the tips provided online. There were really only a few sections that were steep, but it is a pretty long hike with many gradual ups and downs. Karin was really patient when I needed to go more slowly at times. We also stopped frequently for pictures. The views were so beautiful. It is an experience I will always remember!

I designed this hike especially for the winter time, giving visitors a chance to explore the Wachau valley in the low season alike. We wander from the sleepy village of Mautern over the quaint little town of Stein to the bigger city of Krems. The medieval buildings, many churches, hidden passages and staircases give the villages a magic touch and romantic appeal. After warming up in one of the local inns we hike back on panoramic trails through the vineyards and enjoy fantastic views on the city, the river and the surrounding hill chains.

If I could give negative rating I would. The tour suppose to be in English, but somehow another party was added with French. No information, no history, hard to understand (maybe French part was better). After 3 hours of struggle we quit, not worth the money paid.
