The Town of Kremmling is a Statutory Town in Grand County, Colorado, United States. The town population was 1444 at the 2010 United States Census. The town sits along the upper Colorado River in the lower arid section of Middle Park between Byers Canyon and Gore Canyon. The town was founded in 1881 during the Colorado Silver Boom days, but the lack of mineral resources in the nearby mountains made the town grow very slowly in the early days.

The Rusty Spurr Ranch offers non-nose-to-tail riding. Our guests are permitted, encouraged and given instruction on how to spread out and ride abreast instead of in a strict nose-to-tail fashion. We offer a variety of trail ride experiences, a 3-4 hour Cattle Drive and our all-in-one Saddle&Paddle activity providing the opportunity to ride and raft all in one day! We are centrally located to several top Colorado resorts. We are about an hour from Breckenridge, Steamboat and Winter Park, so wherever you stay you can easily enjoy a ride with us.
We got there at the appointed time and the folks there are super friendly. We were given a brief overview of what the ride would entail and about the safety rules. Weather didn't cooperate. We had several rain storms and some hail but we still...MoreThank you for understanding our Colorado weather. We were glad that you could reschedule your ride for the next day and that you enjoyed it. We hope to ride with you again!

Vacationing with my family in Breckenridge and decided to do the half-day kayak float on the upper Colorado River. We did the morning trip, and were glad we did. Perfect, blue sky day in the morning, but afternoons tend to cloud up. When you book with AVA, wetsuits and splash shirts are included, and we took advantage of them. Water was cold, but the wetsuits really help to keep you warm. You meet at their Kremmling outpost, gear up, and then AVA takes you by school bus to the drop off point. "Chili" was the bus driver and did a great job! The float trip takes about 2 hours, with stops at a hot spring and "Jump Off" rock - a 30 foot high cliff that you can jump from into the river. If you want to use your GoPro, let them know in advance, as they have helmets with mounts already installed and will provide these, if available. Our guide was Elyssa, and she was outstanding! Very friendly, knowledgeable, and kept a close eye on us as we worked our way down the river. A bonus for us during the bus ride to the drop off was seeing a bear run across the road just before inspiration point! A couple of recommendations - complete the safety waiver online prior to your trip, look for coupon codes to help with the price of the trip, get to the outpost about 20-30 minutes early so that you can get your gear squared away, and plan for a total of 4 hours for the trip. We had a great time and I recommend AVA to anybody that is looking to raft this portion of the river.

Each had fantastic guides and experiences. Nirmal was a fantastic guide, as were others....very informative, entertaining, and showed everyone a good time.

Driving through - stopped at Starbuck's next door. Line was insane, but rafting company attached. They were full for morning run - stopped next door. Team at AIW threw a quick #4 whitewater trip together for me / wife. Vans could use an upgrade - would have been great to have some waters or something available after - guide offered a drink from his bottle - nice, but no thanks ;-) Wish the water had been a little higher, but can't blame AIW for a lack of rain. High marks for spontaneity - love working with smaller companies, private tours - feels like your really doing something. Next time, we take the smaller boat on bigger water! Said don't recommend you bring your phones, then sold us pictures - should've seen that one coming - put $60 toward your Go Pro.

WE did the upper colorado half day trip with Liquid Descent. After a little confusion with the exact location in Kremmling, we met up with our guides and headed out to the river. Two adults and two teenage boys who had never been rafting before. Our guides Sean and Joe did a good job of explaining what we needed to know for safety, and were great at customizing the trip to our needs and wishes. Our boys haven't stopped talking about the trip, and are trying to get us to go back to CO for another run down the river!

Last week 15 members of our family (ages 3-70) spent a wonderful week at Latigo Ranch. We expected good horse riding, multiple activities and probably pretty good meals. Our expectations were so far exceeded that as we reflect back, it is hard to believe. Our 3 kids and 7 grandchildren did not want to go home. Perhaps the best part of the week was interacting with the staff and the other guests. The other guests were all repeat customers (that says a lot in itself) and the staff was a super group of young people who loved their work and it showed. The food was unbelievable. Please, please check this place out. You will not be sorry. If I could, I would give it 7 Stars.

The Kremmling Area Chamber of Commerce/Visitor's Center is located on Hwy 40(Park Ave.) on Town Square. Kremmling is a quaint little "cowboy" town that reminds people of the way Colorado "used to be." Stop in for information, maps, brochures, restrooms, or to stretch your legs. You may want to grab coffee, a bite to eat, or have a picnic in the park if you're traveling to another destination.
Stayed north of Kremmling for a week of boondocking and winter rest. Stopped at the chamber and found lots of info and a very helpful staff. Excellent resource for your Grand County stay.Thank you so much for the review. We try to enhance everybody's experience that visits us in Kremmling and Grand County. We just got some new powder and hope to see you at Rabbit Ears again!

Spend some time casting flies on the notorious Colorado River! Our four hour float trips are perfect for both novice and experienced fisherman. Our trips will meet at our outpost in Kremmling, CO, located an hour from Summit County. All gear, including flies, will be provided.
My wife and I recently took a guided 4-hour fly-fishing float trip down the upper Colorado river. Our trip was provided by an outfit called Fly-Fishing Colorado, part of Arkansas Valley Adventures, or AVA, which operates out of a facility in Kremmling, CO. Our guide was Kyle Townsend who lives in the area and has years of fly-fishing experience on this river. During the trip down the river Kyle was an outstanding guide and fishing coach for us both. Before shoving off on our float down the river Kyle spent some time giving my wife a beginners introduction to the basics of fly-fishing she would need on this trip. In this he was thorough and professional, yet patient, making sure that his student could execute each cast before moving on.
The 4-hour float was a wonderful outdoors fly-fishing experience. Although it was a slow day fishing the river (our experience was similar to other boats) we hooked several fish, although landed just one. Some days are like that, as those of you who fish would know. Kyle was tireless in his attention to us, tying flies, planning strategy, coaching us on presentation and casting technique, and much more.
I strongly recommend Fly-Fishing Colorado and AVA for a guided fishing float trip on the Colorado river. The organization is professional and thorough about their business of taking customers on these trips. That includes the equipment used, their knowlegable and hard-working personnel, preparation beforehand, and making best use of the time afloat on the water.

Get on the river today with river gear from Colorado River Rentals. A river or fishing trip is a magical way to spend your time - whether it's a short day trip or an overnight trip. So get out there! Rent stand up paddleboards, inflatable kayaks, rafts, river accessories, or a full overnight gear setup from our office in Kremmling, CO near the Upper Colorado River.
My friend and I needed to rental inflatable kayaks, wetsuits, helmets and life vests. The staff in Kremmling CO were extremely helpful. Though we knew what we were doing, they asked questions to make sure we were being safe and we understood the dangers of the rapids. They even gave us tips about parts of the Colorado river. Our adventure was wonderful!
