We had a wonderful day with Takashi as our guide. We visited Arakura Sengen Park and Shrine, 4th Station, Wind and Ice Caves, Mt Fuji Panoramic Ropeway and Oishi Park. We were very lucky and got to see Mt. Fuji all day. Takashi was very knowledgeable about all sites and the history of Japan and we would highly recommend this tour.

We chose Tokyo Bleisure Trip for a private tour of the live tuna auction at Toyosu Market followed by a food walk of the old Tsukiji Market. Takashi was a warm, friendly and informative guide. From timely prior communication to sharing restaurant/sightseeing recommendations afterwards, it was a pleasure interacting with him from start to finish. Takashi met us at our hotel and we promptly started our tour at 5 AM. We first headed to the new wholesale fish market, Toyosu Market, and viewed the auction from the upper observation deck. Takashi patiently explained the entire process and shared some interesting facts and figures about the auction. Being Christmas eve, we were lucky to witness the auction on one of the busiest days of the year, where thousands of tuna were up for sale. This was followed by an omasake sushi breakfast at the famous Daiwa restaurant. We ended the tour with a food walk of the old Tsukiji fish market, where we savoured local street snacks like daifuku, taiyaki, karage and tamogoyaki. Takashi even helped us purchase local spices and Japanese pottery. A great experience overall and we would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Tokyo! Tip: Plan at least one month in advance if you would like to view the auction from the lower observation deck. Make sure to reach on time, or the auction will get over within half an hour on the days with less catch.

While we were sad to have to cancel our July trip to Japan due to the pandemic, we found the process of working with Japan Awaits to be easy and efficient. I can't speak to the full experience since we weren't able to go, but filling out the form and our communication with the company was no problem. And their prompt and courteous response to our request for a refund speaks to their professionalism. We will definitely come back to ask for their help in procuring tickets to the Studio Ghibli Museum when we do finally make it to Japan! Fingers crossed for next summer.

Yoshi was a great tour guide. He tells a lot of stories and takes you to your desired places and then some. We went to the National Gardens, stopped to say hi to Hachiko, and went to the Chiku Chiku Cafe. The Hedgehogs were so cute! They're usually nocturnal and the one I was visiting, Butter, was really tired and wanted to sleep so I only took a couple pictures and let him rest the rest of the time :) Take care Yoshi! Hope you have more fun adventures

My friends and I had a lovely experience walking and learning from Sayuki about the different treasures we found at the antique market. I was quite interested in learning about the different Kimonos they were selling there. We found some long sticks that looked like old pipes, luckily Sayuki was there to tell us that they were old portable ink holders! The antique market was a nice and fun way to learn what people in Japan have been collecting from different eras. She gave us quite a lot of interesting insight about the different kimonos they were selling there. Sayuki is a geisha, she could tell us which one would be worn by a geisha or not. You will learn so much about Japanese goods and culture! If you are not strong in Japanese( like me), do not worry! Sayuki will explain and also translate for you it in English. They sell anything from cutlery, kimonos, head ornaments, jewelry, and other interesting antique goods! For the trip we all brought ower own masks! Highly recommend this trip if you are in Koto, Tokyo!
Walk the local streets Kameido, guided by the towering Skytree. There are many hidden and little known locations in Kameido. In this tour, you will be taken around some of these spots to visit several Gods, such as the Gods of sport, water and scholarship. One of the highlights of this tour is the view you will see from Kameido Ten Jinja Shrine, of its vibrant red bridge with Japan's tallest building, the Skytree, in the background. If you are up for a walk, the walk towards the Skystree is a good one. The view of the towering skytree drawing closer and closer is fantastic, but there do not seem to be many tours that take tourists on this walk. Come and experience this unusual tour with otomo!
