Lying on picturesque Lake Constance (or Bodensee in German), Konstanz has been a city since the first century AD, later gaining prominence as a religious center and then as the site of the only bridge crossing the Rhine River. The Old Town is one of Konstanz’s main attractions and is home to the city’s famed cathedral, originally dating from the 7th century. Due to a border anomaly, Konstanz lies on Switzerland’s land mass, and the Swiss town of Kreuzlingen is just a short walk away.

The architecture is very striking and the building is beautifully maintained. An interesting insight into the religious history that helped shape this part of Germany.

This is an excellent museum displaying the history & the life of John Huss. We were lucky this time that it was open. I went there few years ago, but it was close. This time, we managed to even collected a book on the biography of John Huss

An amazing spacious pool complex with outside pools and slides, water features for kids to play in, a serious swimmer's pool, thermal baths in and out and the option to go for a wilder swim in the lake. Best to get a day ticket and take your time!
