The O’Connell Family opened The Wine Shop in December of 2006 in the heart of Koloa Town on Kauai. Their vision for the shop was simply to provide an amazing assortment of wines to guests and residents on the Southside of the island. Over the last 13 years the store has evolved expanding its offerings to include wine, champagne, spirits, beer, gourmet items and gift baskets, as well as a place to get your marriage license. The shop’s friendly and knowledgeable staff, the husband and wife team of Dan and Ellen O’Connell are prepared to help you find the perfect choice to please your palate and pocketbook. Whether you are dropping in for an old favorite, putting together the perfect picnic basket, shopping for a special occasion, or simply rounding out your gourmet pantry, The Wine Shop has it all.
They have a great selection of wines. With a knowledgeable staff they can help you choose the perfect wine. They also sell liquors and the fixing for mixed drinks

This was a surprising hit for our family! Who knew the Farmer’s Market could be so fun?!?! The crowds around certain trucks (hello, lettuce lady!) were astounding and fun to watch. And the vendors were generous with samples of fruits we were unfamiliar with. The selection of bananas was our favorite. The ice cream bananas and the apple bananas were both delicious and unlike any banana we had ever eaten. Highly recommend!

We visited The Shops at Kukuiula in the evening in search of dinner. It was located in close proximity to our hotel, offered parking and seemed busy. We were able to find dinner (Bubba Burgers) and dessert (Lappert's Ice Cream). Both were great finds and were exactly what we we needed for dinner (quick, quality and local) and dessert (delicious, local). We also spent time walking around The Shops and found most establishments were closing or closed by the time we arrived. The Living Foods Market & Cafe was a great find!
